Winning Form Best Bets

Race 1: ELUSIVE JAID (1)
Race 2: BORN TO BE GREAT (4)
Race 4: SAO PAULO (2)
Race 6: CLIFTON CRUSHER (1)

Magic Tips Best Bets

Race 3: BOLDNESS (6)
Jockey: K Steyn – Trainer: J Strydom

BOLDNESS is a 4yr old filly taking on the boys. She was running on well in her last start over ten furlongs and is likely to enjoy the extra distance on offer this afternoon. She is however carded to run on 23 December and her effort in that race will need to be checked.
RACE 6: DEEPSTON (2)
Jockey: X Ndlovu – Trainer: A Greef

DEEPSTON has really enjoyed the Polytrack since his move up from CT, posting two wins and a close-up fourth in his three runs on the surface. He reared at the start of his last run and did well to recover to finish as close to the winner as he did.

Race 7: SEATTLE MERMAID (2)

Jockey: G Cheyne – Trainer: A Greef

The fillies could dominate the finish to this contest by filling the first four positions, but it must be noted that all four of the top selections are carded to run on 23 December and their performances on that day will need to be carefully studied. Today’s top choice goes to SEATTLE MERMAID from the Alan Greeff yard with stable jockey Greg Cheyne in the irons. She has not been far off the action in her recent starts and could get her consistency rewarded here.

TOP BET
Race 8: VERBARIUM (1)

Jockey: G Cheyne – Trainer: A Greef

VERBARIUM won his first start over this c&d by seven lengths and then showed pace in his next outing over the same distance, but on the grass, to finish a close-up second. He started odds-on in both of those runs and is obviously well thought of by his yard. He jumps from a mid-field draw and may prove to be difficult to beat here.

VALUE BET
RACE 5: QUAKESHAKE (5)
Jockey: M Byleveld – Trainer: D McKenzie

QUAKESHAKE drew away well to win her last start over seven furlongs and will be looking to complete the double here. The mare jumps from a mid-field draw and gets the services of stable jockey Greg Cheyne.
