IT WAS A HIGH FIVE FROM ANTON MARCUS AT HOLLYWOODBETS GREYVILLE
It was a red letter day for Anton Marcus at Hollywoodbets Greyville as he rode 5 winners on the card to end the year on top of the Hollywoodbets KZN Sizzling Summer Challenge jockeys log.
Marcus started the day by booting home a treble as he won the first three races on the card, he then went on to win the fifth and the last to open up a 33.5 lead at the top of the leaderboard ahead of Keagan de Melo who dropped into second.
In the trainers log Hollywoodbets sponsored trainer Garth Puller narrowed the gap on Paul Lafferty from 45 points at the start of racing to 38 points. Puller didn’t have any winners yesterday, but managed to finish second and third in race three.
Lafferty who brought 6 runners to the course yesterday only managed one third place finish, but thanks to the resounding lead he managed to accumulate in previous racemeetings, he will be the man that they have to catch in the new year.
Lafferty also leads the horses log with the first three on the leaderboard, Noble Flight leads Bint El Malak with Explosive Beauty back in third.
Hollywoodbets sponsored trainer Alyson Wright was the leading points scorer on the day as she tallied 57 points from her 7 runners, which included a win for CAESURA in the 7th race.
The next racemeeting for the Hollywoodbets KZN Sizzling Summer sees racing head to Hollywoodbets Scottsville on New Year’s Day, making it the first race meeting of 2020.
