LION KING got back to winning ways in his last start over a mile on the turf. He set the pace that day and kept going well to hold all challengers at bay. He has finished second in both his starts on the polytrack and runs well over the seven furlongs. He is likely to find himself in front turning for home and may be hard to peg back in the closing stages.

MICROBE is one of the better bets on today’s card. She ran a good race in her last start when finishing 3rd over this c&d. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. She likes racing over this c&d having won twice, finishing second once and third three times from eight starts. Wayne Agrella does duty this afternoon and in this type of field, the combination should take a power of beating.

She loves racing over this c&d as she is unbeaten from three starts. If Luyolo Mxothwa is able to switch her off early, she may be the one they all have to beat.
