Magic Tips Best Bets

Jockey: Khumalo S  Trainer: Fortune A

LAETITIA’S ANGEL won a very good race on debut over the minimum trip on the Vaal Classic course. The manner in which she drew off at the finish that day suggests that she will enjoy the extra distance on offer this afternoon. The daughter of Potala Palace looks to have ability and can notch up the double.
Race 3: AL MADHAR (1)
Jockey: Brown S  Trainer: De Kock M

Trainer Mike de Kock holds a strong hand in this contest and he has a good chance of saddling the exacta. AL MADHAR won a very good race on debut over this distance on the Vaal Classic course. He took the lead at the 300m mark that day and drew off well. The son of Silvano would have come on from that outing and should have more to come. Sherman Brown retains the ride which is encouraging.

ANYTHING GOES is a winner of both her starts to date. The well-related daughter of Var tries the mile for the first time, but the manner in which she won last time suggests that the mile will be right up her alley. She does have a wide draw to contend with, but she is likely to be switched off near the rear of the field early and will be mowing down the frontrunners in the run down to the wire.
Race 5: IDEAL ANGEL (10)

Jockey: Simons R  Trainer: Verdonese E

IDEAL ANGEL produced a promising debut effort when finishing third over this C&D. The manner in which she ran on up the straight caught the eye. The daughter of Ideal World would have come on with the run under her belt and with the natural improvement that is expected, she should be the one they all have to beat. She jumps from pole position which is a big plus.

Race 6: DEERUPT (8)
Jockey: Danielson R – Trainer: Janse van Vuur

DEERUPT showed some signs of a form return in her last start when finishing 4 lengths behind ESKIMO KISSES. She was reported to have choked up that day which makes the run that much more encouraging. She meets her conqueror on 4kgs better weight terms this afternoon and there should not be much separating the pair in the run down to the wire.
