Best Bet: MISS FROST (Race 2)
Value Bet: MANKIND (Race 7)

Race 1
The betting market will be the best guide in this contest as only one of the horses in this line-up have had a run. SASSY TRADER is an unraced son of Trade Fair from the Sean Casey yard with Patrick Carbery doing duty. He is a winner of his last two barrier trials coming into this race and if not too green, should be the one they all have to beat. PLAYING FOR KEEPS is an unraced son of Snippetson from the Dion Luciani stable, with Brad Parnham in the saddle. He was a winner of his last barrier trial leading into this race and may be the one to throw out the biggest challenge to the top choice.

Race 2
MISS FROST won her comeback run over the minimum trip on this course with ease. She was returning from a lengthy 76-week break that day which makes the victory that much more encouraging. The daughter of Frost Giant looks to have plenty of class and should be tough to beat today. SIR MAMBO produced a good comeback run over this course and distance. He has had a good season thus far having won twice, finishing second three times and third once from eight starts. 1.5kg claiming apprentice Jade McNaught retains the ride this afternoon and the son of War Chant should strip a much fitter horse.

Race 3
ALTANI won her last start over 1100m on this course well. She settled at the rear of the field that day and ran on strongly to peel off the frontrunners in the run down to the finishing post. She has won three times from five outings on this track. Peter Knuckey knows her well and the pair should be the ones they all have to beat today. GATES OF BABYLON has good recent form lines to her credit. She runs well over this course and distance having won twice from three attempts. Mitchell Pateman rides the daughter of Frost Giant for the first time and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of her where it matters most.

Race 4
BLACKWATER BAY was an impressive maiden winner in his last start over this course and distance. He does take on stronger company this afternoon, but the son of Blackfriars is lightly raced and looks to be progressive. It is encouraging that jockey William Pike retains the ride. The combination should notch up a quick double. TRADENSIA is a lightly raced filly taking on the males. She won her last start by just over two lengths over seven furlongs on this course. Jockey Chris Parnham has an encouraging 25%-win strike rate for this trainer. Should the top selection fluff his lines, she may be the one to pick up the pieces.

Race 5
BRITISH BESSY produced a very good comeback run when finishing second over a mile on this course. The manner in which she finished off the race that day was encouraging. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. She has won three times and finished second once from as many outings over this distance. Alan Kennedy knows her well and the pair should be tough to beat today. DARK CHOICE got back to winning ways in her last start over a mile on this course. Apprentice Chris Graham will take 3kgs off her allocated weight once again and the combination should be right there in the run down to the wire.

Race 6
FABERGINO is a winner of her last three starts, all of which have been in Listed company. She loves racing on this course having won six times and finishing third once from eight outings. Peter Knuckey knows the daughter of Maschino well and the pair should be very tough to beat. FLIRTINI produced a very good comeback run over six furlongs on this course last time. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. She has a good record when having her second run after a rest, winning twice and finishing third once from as many starts. Joseph Azzopardi retains the ride today and the pair should be involved in the finish.

Race 7
MANKIND produced some decent form before given a well-deserved 14-week break. He has won twice, finished second once and third twice from eight outings this season. The engagement of jockey William Pike will suggest that the connections are expecting a big run from the son of Denman on his return. AMELIA’S ON FIRE is a filly taking on the boys. She produced a very good comeback run over this course and distance when just touched off at the wire. She is yet to be unplaced over this track and trip having won twice and finished third once. The daughter of Sizzling should strip a much fitter horse this afternoon and with Chris Parnham retaining the ride, she should be right there in the run down to the wire.

Race 8
FESTIVAL MISS has good recent form to her credit. She likes racing over this distance having won twice, finishing second once and third on three occasions from seven attempts. In-form apprentice Chloe Azzopardi takes 2kgs off the back this afternoon and the pair should find themselves in the winner’s enclosure. KELVIN won his last start well over 1500m on this course. He has finished third in both his runs over this course and distance. Apprentice Chris Graham retains the ride and the combination should be right there in the run down to the finishing post.

Race 9
SHE’S ALIGHT got back to winning ways in her last start over seven furlongs on this course. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. She loves racing on this track and if seeing out the extra distance on offer, she should notch up her fifth career victory. WEE RIPPER won his last start well over this course and distance. The manner in which he finished his race off was eye-catching. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. Shaun O’Donnell has ridden the son of Blackfriars three times for two wins. The combination merit healthy respect in this contest.

Race 10
LAVERROD was an impressive winner of his last start over 1100m on this course. He has a cracking record on this track having won three times, finishing second three times and third once, from seven asttempts. His regular pilot Patrick Carbery does duty once again and the pair should be hard to beat once again. CAROCAPO is a distance specialist having won six times and finishing third on three occasions from twelve attempts. 2kg claiming apprentice Chloe Azzopardi who rode him in his last start would have learnt a lot from that outing and she should know how to get more out of the son of Husson today.
