Race 2 (Maiden Claiming): No7 – FINALLY
Trainer: Rodolphe Bisset – Jockey: Willie Martinez
Backed into favouritism on his debut, FINALLY put in a highly promising run to finish third, beaten less than a length. The Carpe Diem colt is at the same course and distance for his second outing and should have derived sufficient improvement to open his account. He’s one of the most inexperienced runners in the field but that can’t be said about FIFTH OF NOVEMBER who put in an improved effort on the second run back when a 66-1 no-hoper, and can get into the argument today. WEST SIDE WARRIOR represents the top trainer and jockey at the meeting and has to be included.

Race 4 (Maiden Claiming): No4 – HONESTA
Trainer: Jose Delgado – Jockey: Tomas Mejia
HONESTA should be cherry ripe to pop after a cracking first run after shipping from Gulfstream on joining the Delgado barn. That second outing of the year over this course and distance is hard to fault in the context of what it will take to win today’s contest. RAY’S SILVER STORM has taken home a cheque on each of her three starts this year and the grey has to be on interest looking to go one better after a near-miss last time. ORNERY ANGEL and TALK NICE are closely matched, and can both have a say.

Race 6 (Claiming): No9 – BATS CHANCE
Trainer: Eoin Harty – Jockey: Willie Martinez
BATS CHANCE began 2020 with a win here on a fast track and after two subsequent defeats in better company (starter optional claiming) is ready to get back into the winner’s circle. The cash came for him when he broke his maiden on the turf in early January and the betting could again tell us all we need to know. A son of Oxbow, he pleased in his latest workout for this. SINATRA DEVIL took a class hike in his stride when third in a more valuable claimer here last time. That was his first outing for Edward Allart, and further progression is not ruled out. READY TO MINGLE has been in the money in every start since joining his trainer in February and is carded to get into the money.
