Race 1
PARIS PIKE returns from a 12-week rest during which time he was gelded. He has not had the benefit of a barrier trial, but he showed improvement over this distance before the break. He has a wide draw, but if not too much in need of the run, he looks to be one of the leading contenders here. IRISH PARDON is seldom too far off the winner and should put in another honest performance today. GREAT AMBITION is a 3yr old filly taking on the boys. She has a wide draw to overcome, but possesses early gate speed and should be able to get across without using up too much energy. KUTAYHA makes his debut and has not had a barrier trial, but hails from a top stable. Any betting support for him should be respected.

Race 2
SLY SLOTH steps up to seven furlongs, but he was staying on well when just beaten a short-head last time out over six furlongs. He starts from gate five and should appreciate the extra ground on offer here. ATYPICAL was just over five lengths behind the winner when making his debut over this trip. He would have come on from that outing and could trouble the former. THE TURFFINATOR was making late progress in his last outing over six furlongs when fifth, 3.2L behind the winner. He is another who should enjoy the extra distance. ONEFORTHEBROTHERS was disappointing last time out, but that was on a heavy track and he will be looking to bounce back after that effort in better underfoot conditions.

Race 3
BONNE GEISHA was somewhat disappointing last time out, but gets draw two here and a repeat of her penultimate effort over this c&d would make her the one to side with here. DIHHI is drawn one outside the former and was staying on nicely in her last outing over 1300M and should have no issue with the extra distance. CRACKERJACK LADY, on the other hand, has draw fourteen to deal with, but she has the early gate speed to get across without burning up too much energy. DESERT REALM improved in her latest outing over seven furlongs after returning from a 14-week break. If not in need of one more run, she should be considered in this line-up.

Race 4
MODULO had consistent formlines to his credit before taking a 35-week rest. He has not had a barrier trial, so his fitness will have to be taken on trust, but if resuming where he left off, he should be right up there when they hit the line. GALACTUS has shown steady improvement in his last three outings and although draw wide at gate fourteen, he should be involved in the finish here. MISCHIEVOUS LAD steps up to six furlongs after a promising effort last time out over 1100M and starts from a mid-field gate position. HENLEY MISS is a 3yr old filly taking on males and is drawn thirteen, but she gets a set of blinkers fitted for the first time and if these get her to concentrate on the task on hand, she should not be overlooked today.

Race 5
RIVERDANCE LAD is seldom far off the action and was making good late progress last time out over 1100M and should be ideally suited to the six furlongs. He looks the value in the race. ARISTOBEAUX has finished closer to the winner in his last three outings and if continuing along that progression, he could be the biggest danger to the top choice. KALKARNI ROYALE is a 3yr old filly taking on the boys, but she has cracked pole position. She won over five furlongs and could be almost anything. Betting support for her should be taken seriously. VICI is drawn one outside the latter and was not far behind the victor last time out over this distance when returning from a 23-week break.

Race 6
GALENUS returns from a 10-week rest and has his first run for his new trainer. He is, however, looking to complete his hat-trick here and despite being drawn thirteen out of fifteen runners, he looks capable of pulling this off. MAGNAJET was an end to end winner of his last outing over the c&d and will get 2kgs taken of his back courtesy of his claiming apprentice. He looks the immediate danger to the former. ISCARIOT has finished second in his last three runs over seven furlongs and will be hoping to go one better when dropping down to six furlongs today. He is another who has his first outing for his new conditioner. YOUNG CLIFFY has only had the two stars, but he showed the expected improvement second time out when winning after stepping up to six furlongs. He attracted no betting support that day and might just be better at the race track than at home.

Race 7
This looks a tricky race with some of the leading contenders returning from lengthy breaks and without having the benefit of a barrier trial. HUMZZ is seldom too far off the winner and has drawn gate five. A repeat of his penultimate effort when victorious over this distance would make him a leading contender here. NORMA STARS is a 3yr old filly who has her first run since a 22-week rest. She drops in trip from her last outing over seven furlongs and may do better as a result. THE SISTERS is a 4yr old filly who returns from an even longer 54-week break. Her form over this trip is solid and if not too much in need of the run, she should be right up there in the firing line. BEERZ WITH CLINT returns from a 44 rest. His last two efforts over further should be ignored as he appears to be far better suited to this shorter distance.

Race 8
HAVIERON has his hat-trick attempt here and did post a win over this c&d last time out to strengthen his claim. He has pole position which will further enhance his chances of completing the trio. CLEO’S POET steps up in trip after only been beaten a head last time out over 1500M and could threaten the top choice. ZACHAZ had put in two solid performances over the mile before an extremely disappointing last outing. He was immediately put away for 31 weeks and will be hoping to bounce back to form here. ALLAGERI is drawn four and had an encouraging run last time out over this c&d. He should be included in all bets.

Race 9
EAGLE RIDGE has shown improvement in his last two starts over 1300M and from his mid-field draw, he should be right up there when they reach the finishing post. CRIMSON ACE is a 4yr old filly taking on males, but she has drawn pole position. She returns from an 18-week rest, but the drop down to seven furlongs is sure to be to her liking. INTO RIO also drops to seven furlongs from a mile and has his first outing since a 12-week break. Neither of the latter two runners have had a barrier trial, but if not too much in need of the outing, they should be considered runners here. HERE DE FOX is a 5yr old mare who finished 1.5L behind the winner last time out over 1300M. She as a wide draw of thirteen to negotiate, but she should be respected in this field.
