Race 2.
Two fillies could dominate the finish to this race by completing the exacta. The narrow top pick goes to BETTER BE GREAT who showed the expected improvement to win second time out over this distance. From draw three, she should be right up there at the finish. SPIRITOMO won at the second time of asking over this trip. She does have a wide draw of eleven to overcome, but nevertheless could be the biggest threat to the former. DARK SON returns from a 12 week rest and has not had the benefit of a barrier trial, so his fitness will have to be taken on trust. If not too much in need of the run, he should be considered today. WILD CHILD is another filly in the contest. She won on debut over five furlongs and has cracked pole position. She returns from a 17 week rest, but has not had a barrier trial. She would however have learnt from the outing and should not be overlooked in this line-up.

Race 3.
ARROW EXPRESS is a 4yr old filly taking on the boys, but she is seldom far off the winner over this distance and will get 3kgs taken off her back thanks to her claiming apprentice. BEWARE has made steady improvement in his last three outings over this trip and if he has continued along that same path, he could trouble the former. ACCEPTILE drops back from six furlongs of his last outing to the five furlongs today and may do better as a result. MAGIC INK is a 6yr old mare who has her first run after a 33 week break. She disappointed in her last run, but her jockey did not persevere with his ride that day and the effort is best ignored. She is another who will get 3kgs removed from her back courtesy of her claiming appie. On her better form, she would be a runner here.

Race 4.
This race could develop into a match between two fillies, with the slight preference going to SILVAPLANA who has posted two solid recent efforts over this trip. She attracted plenty of betting support in her last outing when one length behind the winner and will be looking to make amends here. MITHU drops back from 1100M of her last outing and will jump from gate two. She could be the biggest danger to the former. ACEPLAY also drops back to the five furlongs. He is a speedy sort who will surely appreciate the shorter journey. HEARTS LIKE OURS has his first run after a 25 week rest. He was reported to be lame in his poor last run prior to the break, but if over that issue, he should be respected in this field.

Race 5.
HEADSPACE showed good improvement to win his second outing over this trip. He jumps from gate three and seems capable of following up that victory today. EL PRADOS returns from a 22 week break, but has put in two solid barrier trials. He should be right up there when they hit the line. JAZZY’S ANGEL has improved in his last two outings. He likes to race up with the speed in his races and should put this pole position draw to good advantage. SUKOSHI has her first start since a 19 week rest and her first for her new trainer. If fully acclimatized in his new surroundings, she should be involved in the finish here.

Race 6.
I AM COURAGE has consistent formlines to his name and although finishing fifth last time out over five furlongs, he was just 1.4L behind the winner. He starts from draw seven and should be right up there in the dash down to the wire. His 3kg apprentice allowance is an added bonus. BAY OF DRAGONS is a 4yr old filly taking on males. She is drawn one inside the former and should enjoy dropping back to five furlongs, over which distance she won her penultimate start. ALL SHIRAZ is also a 4yr old filly. She was hampered and then shifted about in her last outing over 1300M and with better luck in running today, she should be included in all bets. ADAMDEEANT raced wide and had to be steadied when disappointing in his last run over this distance and that effort should be overlooked. He is a must for the shortlist.

Race 7.
COLUMN improved when stepping up to this distance last time out and a repeat of that effort would make him the one that they all have to beat here. CONCAVE had his consistent form rewarded with a victory last time out over the mile. He looks to be the immediate threat to the former. RERUN steps up from 1500M of his last outing where he was making good late progress, suggesting that the extra ground on offer here will be to his liking. His draw two is a plus. RISING KING also goes the extra trip today, but he was staying on in the latter stages of his last outing over seven furlongs and on that showing, he should have no issue with the extra journey.

Race 8.
SWAN ISLAND is a 5yr old mare taking on boys, but she won her last start over five furlongs and gets to jump from draw four. On that last performance, she is sure to give the males a good run for their money. WAIT A MINUTE won his last outing over this distance going away and from gate two, he should keep the top selection honest. EL PRADOS returns from a 22 week break and was placed in his barrier trial to prove his fitness. He followed up his 5.3L victory over the c&d with an encouraging next run over five furlongs before the break and should not be underestimated in this contest. ACCUMULATED has put in three solid efforts over six furlongs and although drawn out at nine, he should be right up there in the firing line.

Race 9.
BOSS’S BOY goes the extra distance after putting in a solid last effort over 1100M and from his two draw, he should be involved in the finish today. IN HER ZONE is a 4yr old filly who won when friendless in the betting last time out over six furlongs. If she is able to confirm that effort, she could trouble the former. STARCASTER is drawn very wide at gate sixteen, but he finished strongly to win his last outing in the shadow of the post and he should be picking off the frontrunners at the business end of affairs today. ROCK ME HUSSEY returns from a 12 week rest. He drops in distance from his last run over 1300M and is not without a chance in this field.
