RACE 1
GOLDEN DASH Has come on after three runs from a rest. The 4-year old bay gelding competed against stronger a few starts back and with a neat draw here he is in with a chance. PERFECT was impressive last time out when winning over 1400m on the turf track. The son of Playing God is back on the polytrack and can earn here. BORN TO WIN all three wins were on the grass. He may find this too sharp, but still has claims here.
RACE 2
MALIBU BEACH from the Ricardo Le Grange stable placed in all three starts. The son of Malibu Moon seems to have hit his straps on his impressive winning barrier trial last week. He looks hard to beat. IMA raced three wide in search of the lead last time out but was swamped late to run fourth and should be right there. SUPERMAN ran on strongly last time to finish a close-up third to Wind Of Dubai. The 3-year old bay colt may be able to settle closer to the speed especially from a good draw.
RACE 3
ABLEST ASCEND from the Michael Clements yard was fourth in the Group 3 Singapore Golden Horseshoe and recently hacked up in a trial in quick time. The one to beat. LONHRO GOLD a very speedy sort who has also had a good barrier trial and makes his debut for the Ricardo Le Grange yard. DAY APPROACH is the stable companion to the top selection. The son of Dawn Approach returns from a long break but if fit and well he should be right there.
RACE 4
MASTER SOMMELIER from the Shane Donald Baertschiger is in good form and should shed his maiden tag today with top jockey Vlad Duric up. WIND RHAPSODY hasn’t set Kranji alight but showed significant improvement last two starts on the polytrack and must be respected. MARCUS ANTONIUS ran a fair fourth to the much superior Real Efecto last Saturday. He looks safely held by the top selection.
RACE 5
THE EXECUTIONER two time winner at around this trip in Australia on both good and heavy going. He has impressed in only barrier trial and looks good enough to win on local debut. SUPER POSH racing off a handy rating at present and even though he is up a point for a good third last time, he can feature here. LIM’S ZOOM had a disappointing effort last time. He is better than that and can go well here.
RACE 6
FREE FALLIN’ last two starts were encouraging. He had a good barrier trial and warrants respect here. DIAMOND MINE seems to have found his old spark back. If he reproduces his last-start third to Lim’s Unique in a similar contest, he will be a major force to reckon with. ANPANMAN opened his account last time out at long odds. He will have to prove it was no fluke and can finish in the money.
RACE 7
MERYL from the Peters stable ran on well last time when finishing third on only her second polytrack appearance. The 4-year old bay mare will strip fitter and must have a say here. IRON RULER the top weight and now back into Class 4 grade here. His still four points higher than his last victory and the conditions suit him well. LEATHERHEAD from the Ricardo Le Grange yard won a barrier trial on Tuesday and should strip fitter today.
RACE 8
MIGHTY EMPEROR showed good improvement last time when finishing third over this distance. Interesting to note top jockey Vlad Duric jumps aboard the son of Kahal. TSURIAN from the Fitzsimmons yard had two impressive wins in a row and the 8-year old chestnut gelding goes for the hat-trick. MATSURIBAYASHI from the Hideyuki Takaoka yard drops back in class. He will be more competitive here and won’t surprise if he runs into the money.
RACE 9
HEARTENING FLYER from the Michael Clements yard is a top sort in the making and has come back even better as a gelding by the looks of things from a recent win. He is the one to beat. SPIRIT OF BIG BANG was behind the top selection last time out when finishing third and he is weighted to finish closer. NATIONALITY has now joined Mark Walker yard and has had a good barrier trial prior to this race. Champion jockey Vlad Duric is booked and he makes an interesting appeal in this.
RACE 10
KNIGHT LOVE worth forgiving for a poor display last time out. He is better than that and can bounce back here in the lucky last. GOLDEN FLAME ran well last time when placed and can give another bold display once again. LEGEND OF THE SUN an interesting runner on the pick of his form and could be the value here.
