RACE 1
The 4 year- old gelding TIGER LEAP is seldom far off. The run last time was not as bad as it may seem on paper and it is worth giving this Steven Burridge trained runner another chance. BLITZ POWER made late headway last time to finish second over this distance. The daughter of Iffraaj will be running on at finish. CAVALLA COURT from the Stephen Gray yard needed his comeback run and will strip fitter today. The 5 year-old bay gelding gets the services of leading jockey Vlad Duric and should give a bold effort here.
RACE 2
EIGHT BALL from the Shane Donald Baertschiger yard vastly improved in his second start. The removal of blinkers seems to have helped the 3 year-old bay gelding and he must have a say here. STRONG N SMART needed his comeback run last time. The 3-year old bay gelding will strip fitter and will give a better display being back on the polytrack. OUR SECRET WEAPON from the Mark Walker yard ran a disappointing race in a feature last time. Interesting to note his best career effort came over this distance when finishing second.
RACE 3
FEDERATION from the Mark Walker yard had an eye-catching comeback run over this distance last time. The son of Written Tycoon will strip fitter today and must be included in all bets when jumping from pole position. STYLE Has not fared too badly in two runs. Making slow headway and with champion jockey Vlad Duric back in the saddle, he may well land a blow here. THE ARCHER ran on strongly to win his last start over this distance. He faces stiffer opposition here but still has plenty of scope.
RACE 4
MALIBU BEACH from Ricardo Le Grange stable had an eye-catching debut over this distance on the 16th of January . The son of Malibu Moon will strip fitter and should go one better today despite the wide draw. The ultra-consistent HAPPY FRIDAY is seldom far off and has maintained his form. The 4 year-old chestnut gelding shapes up as a main contender to the top selection. WHO LOVES BAE returns from a long layoff but is yet to be unplaced in his four starts to date. He did show some potential in both his barrier trails and must be respected if fit and well.
RACE 5
WELL DESERVED needed his comeback run and will strip fitter today. Interesting to note jockey Vlad Duric has a brilliant record on this James Peters trained grey and he is the pick here. PHAXE from the Ricardo Le Grange yard is still a maiden but ran very well last time out and a repeat of that run should see him go well here. PAPERBACK TROOPER had an eye-catching comeback run over this distance to finish second. The son of Publishing will strip fitter and must have a say here.
RACE 6
ASAAD from Meagher stable is a horse in excellent form and has the services of multiple champion rider Vlad Duric. The son of Orpen commands respect here. MIGHTY EMPEROR had a promising comeback run. The 9 year-old bay gelding will strip fitter today and if in the mood, it is not impossible that he can be right amongst it at the business end here. LEATHERHEAD from the Ricardo Le Grange stable is a course record holder over the mile and is another in very good form.
RACE 7
RED RIDING WOOD from the Mark Walker stable had a good comeback run over this distance last time out. The son of Redwood will strip fitter today. Interesting to note the booking of champion jockey Vlad Duric is another pointer here. SCOOBY DOO just like the top selection also had a good comeback run over the mile. The 4 year-old bay gelding is on the up and it won’t surprise if he puts his best foot forward again. BIG REGARDS might of needed his last start when disappointed as the favourite. He made up some ground late, drawn in pole again and with the blinkers off he should give a better effort today.
RACE 8
The 9 year-old bay gelding RED CLAW is holding his form well. Blinkers have sharpened him up. His last two runs were full of merit. If he reproduces that form, he should be in with a shout. SUPER RAY ran on strongly last time and will enjoy the extra 200m. Interesting to note champion jockey Vlad Duric takes the ride. LIM’S SHOT found the 1000m trip too short in his last two starts. The 8 year-old bay gelding will be better suited to 1200m.
RACE9
The ultra-consistent SUPER INVINCIBLE is up in class but won well last time out in a Class 3 and the son of I Am Invincible must be respected here. SACRED REBEL had an eye-catching comeback run over 1200m. The 6 year-old chestnut gelding will strip fitter today. ZAC KASA finished fourth in the Lion City Cup. The son of Reset is lightly raced and a winner on this surface. He must be included.
RACE 10
PATTAYA has been stringing up a series of good performances and should be cherry-ripe for the win here. Interesting to note champion jockey Vlad Duric is back aboard the son of Sacred Falls. HEAVENLY DANCER is a consistent sort who has done nothing wrong in five starts. He seems to be always finding one better in his last three starts. The short course won’t help his cause, but he will still be in the mix. SPEEDY MISSILE Loomed up as a major threat last time. The 4 year-old bay gelding seldom disappoints. He faces tough opposition but is well in and can run into the money.
