Race 1
With the one scratching, only five runners face the starter in this opening event and MOONSHINER is taken as the narrow top pick. He showed some improvement when finishing second last time out over the c&d despite taking a bump at the 100M mark and should have finished closer as a result. DUZI CANOE was just 0.3L behind the former in that same race and is slightly better drawn. QUEEN DAZZLER is a filly taking on the boys. She makes her debut without having had the benefit of a barrier trial. However, any betting support for her should be respected. REDENZO GAL is also a filly who drops back in trip from her last outing over seven furlongs, but she may battle to beat the top three selections.

Race 2
With the majority of the runners in this event making their debut, a close eye must be kept on the betting markets to get some indication as to what the various stables think about their chances of winning first time out. Of the raced runners, SPIRITOMO may prove to be the pick. She is a filly taking on males, but she finished close up first time out over this c&d. She would no doubt have come on with the run and should be involved in the finish here. GOODY GOODY is another filly who makes her debut without having a barrier trial, but does hail from a strong stable. FIVE CHERRYS also has his first start and is the only colt in the race. SPECIAL BEANS has her first outing, but did finish second in her only barrier trial.

Race 3
As with the previous race, there is only one colt in this contest and the fillies/mares should fight out the finish here. SACRED STONE returns from a 37-week break and has her first run for her new trainer. She has only had the two runs to date and did finish second on debut over this distance. In addition, she won her barrier trial and although she has a wide draw to overcome, she looks to be the one that they all have to beat. SILVAPLANA showed marked improvement last time out over the five furlongs. She is drawn wide, but she likes to race up with the speed, so this might not be a big issue. STYK AT IT, on the other hand, jumps from gate two. She has her first run after a 28-week rest and has not had a barrier trial, so her fitness needs to be taken on trust. She drops back from six furlongs and may do better as a result. ROOTS’N’ROCKS is another who returns from a break, this time for 20 weeks and no barrier trial. She has only had the one run, finishing third over five furlongs. If not in need of the outing, she should be respected here.

Race 4
FAIR FELLA has completed his hat-trick since returning from a 30-week rest and will to hoping to chalk up the quartet of wins today. He is drawn two and this is very much on the cards. BETTER BE BETTER is a 3yr old filly taking on the boys and returns from a 23-week break. She won on debut over this trip despite being friendless in the betting market, suggesting that she may be better at the race track than at home. Her three draw is a plus. MOCKING is also a 3yr old filly who improved last time out when a neck back over this c&d. A repeat of that effort would see her right up there at the line. I AM COURAGE also showed solid improvement last time out when dropping in distance and returning from a 11-week rest. He should not be overlooked today.

Race 5
Three 3yr old fillies look to dominate the finish here, with the top pick going to VAMPIRINA DIAMOND who returns from a 14-week rest. She takes a big drop in distance after finishing second last time out over nine furlongs, but did end up just under a length behind the winner in her penultimate outing over 1300M. She starts from draw eleven, but should be right up there in the mix. GIBBO’S GIRL has only had the two starts to date, but improved when stepping up to six furlongs last time out. SHIZURU has shown steady improvement in her last three outings and if she has continued along that same path, she should have a say in the finish today. TERRIUS could be the first male home. He is stuck out wide at gate thirteen, but he should use his early gate speed to get across without using up too much energy.

Race 6
DECISIVE HEART is a 4yr old filly taking on males, but she has posted consistent formlines over the six furlongs. She has a wide draw to negotiate, but gets the services of Robbie Fradd and will get all the assistance from the saddle. DESERT KNIGHT is drawn one outside the former, but he has not been too far off the action in his last three outings. He is likely to put in another honest performance today. ABB ROY is a 6yr old mare who has pulled pole position and was only run out of it late last time out over six furlongs when looking dangerous close to home. BRINKMANSHIP has solid form to his credit and finished third last time out over this trip, just 1.3L behind the winner.

Race 7
BLACKJACK ROSE is a 3yr old filly taking on the boys, but she has only had the two runs to date and showed the expected improvement when winning second time out over this c&d. She takes on stronger here, but from gate four, she should be right up there in the firing line. COOK IT CHARLIE, on the other hand, has a wide draw of thirteen to contend with, but was just a half-length behind the victor in his last outing over the c&d. DYNAMIC THINKER has his first start since a 18-week break and has an even wider draw of fifteen to beat, but if repeating his penultimate effort over six furlongs, he could pose a threat to the top three selections. BRONCKS returns from a 20-week rest, but he did win his barrier trial to confirm his well-being. He drops from seven furlongs to the six furlongs today and may do better as a result.
