International Racing: Pinjarra Park – Sunday 31 May 2020

International Racing: Saturday 30 May 2020 – Morphetville

An intriguing nine-race programme is scheduled for Pinjarra Park on Sunday. The going is predicted to be heavy. The best bet is CELTIC DIVA in Race 5. She tends to do her best work late and looks set to notch up another victory this afternoon.

Race 1
FLOATOURBOAT
placed at Belmont last time out and looks likely to race up with the speed in a
contest of this nature. He can shed his maiden tag this afternoon. RUN D’AFFAIRE has placed twice this
season and should find a decent position behind the pacemakers in this contest.
He looks the biggest danger to the top selection. DOMINEER is a filly taking on the boys but she can run into the
places and must be respected.
Race 2
MISS MAILBU is a
mare taking on males but she is likely to be rewarded for consistency this
afternoon. She meets a moderate bunch of maidens and looks set to shed her
maiden tag. RICHARDSON is making slow
natural improvement and looks to have the scope to pose a threat to the top
selection. ICARIAN finished midfield
last time out but should appreciate the drop in trip and can run into the
places.
Race 3
MARCASITE placed
in soft conditions last time out at Bunbury and with rain-affected going
predicted, she looks like a massive runner in this contest. OCEAN CANDY has placed twice this
season and she will benefit from a 3kgs apprentice allowance, assisting her
cause. BRIARIC possibly needed her
last start after a break and she interestingly gets the blinkers re-fitted for
this contest. She can run into places.
LONROCK placed
last start at Terang on a soft track when fresh and expected to settle off the
speed, well placed. SHOWBAG
drops 1kg from last run and likely to race off the speed, could threaten. KALLESKE has two placings from seven
runs this prep and drops in weight, each-way claims. CHAPARRAL BELLE resumes after a spell of 24 weeks and ran
fifth at Terang when last first-up, sneaky chance.LONROCK placed last start at Terang on a soft track when

CITY INVASION
just got pipped by a neck in his debut effort by Black Lightning, just ten days
ago. He will surely come on from the experience and should take a power of
beating in this contest. HARIASA finished
runner-up in her debut at Bunbury under Lucy Warwick and she looks the
strongest challenger to the top selection. ELITE
STREET
in an interesting runner. He hasn’t raced since his debut effort
back in November but four horses out of that run have come out to win since.
Race 5
CELTIC DIVA is
the best bet on the card. The New Zealand bred cruised in last time out at
Belmont and she should be picking off the frontrunners in the latter stages of
this contest. UNENDING found plenty
support in the market last time at Belmont and should be racing up with the
speed. She looks the biggest threat to the top selection. CLEO’S AFTERPARTY has placed third in his last two runs and can run
into the places again.
Race 6
ROMAN FLIRT is in
search of a hat-trick of wins this afternoon and looks difficult to oppose on
paper. CABLE GUY has finished
runner-up in both of his runs out of the maidens and looks the obvious danger
to the top selection. KRAKKAS
performs well under Chris Parnham and although he prefers his home track of
Ascot, he shouldn’t be ignored in this contest.
Race 7
JAG THE JOKER
narrowly failed last time out on this track when unfancied in the market and
will look to make amends this afternoon. He likes to race up with the speed and
should be right there at the business end. OUR
BONNIE GIRL
will have the advantage of shouldering bottom weight in this
contest. She placed under Joseph Azzopardi and could surprise us again. STARAUTHORESS often finishes in the
places and must also be respected.
Race 8
WILD FRONT has
won twice this season and been ultra-consistent in all other outings thus far.
He looks like he could take a power of beating in this contest and could
represent some each way value for punters. FLOWER
OF SCOTLAND
won over this course and distance last time and will benefit
from a 3kgs apprentice allowance. IT
COMES NATURAL
often finishes in the places and must be respected.
Race 9
THE LAST BREEZE
won impressively last time at Bunbury and he should be a big runner now, back
at his home track. He also runs very well for Lucy Warwick. SLUICE BOX won under this apprentice
last time out at Geraldton and looks the biggest danger to the top selection. PINK AND PURPLE returns from a lengthy
36 week layoff but can place in this contest, providing she returns fit.
