Race 1.
The top three
selections renew their rivalry today and a form reversal may be possible.
UTGARD
LOKI
finished two lengths behind FREEZ’EMOFF in their last clash over this c&d, but is 2kgs better
off at today’s weights. As such, he may be able to turn the tables on his
conqueror.
TOUCH OF SILVER finished three lengths off the
latter that day, but is only 1kg to the good at the weights here, despite
having the services of a 1.5kg claiming apprentice. There should however not be
too much separating the trio when they hit the wire and an exciting finish is
on the cards. NOIR DE RUE steps up in trip from
his last start over a mile and may have to settle for minor money.

Race 2.
MR DELEGATOR returns
from a 13 week rest and has not had the befit of a barrier trial, but he
finished second on debut over the c&d and has a handy three draw. If not
too much in need of the run, he could be the one to side with here. WESTERN RHYTHM is a 3yr old filly taking on the
boys and who steps out here for her first run. She has put in two solid barrier
trials, winning her latest. She is drawn the widest of them all, but any
betting support for her should be respected. ALIEN FROM MARS is
a 4yr old filly who has consistent five-furlong form to her credit. She takes
on six furlongs today, but she was staying on well in her last outing,
suggesting that this should not be an issue. RAPID TRANSIT is
another with consistent form, this time over today’s trip. He finished second
last time out and from gate six, he should be involved in the finish here.

Race 3.
NOBELLITY
showed the expected
improvement second time out when finishing second over six furlongs, just 0.3L
behind the winner. She is a filly taking on males, but jumping from draw four,
she should be right up there when they hit the line. ELLISIO finished third on debut over
five furlongs
and the blinkers are removed for today’s
run. If suited to the equipment change, he could threaten the former. MISS IVY LEAGUE is also a filly. She followed up her penultimate victory
over six furlongs with a fifth-place finish over 1300M. She is not without a
chance in this line-up. PRIVATE NUMBER is yet another filly. She has her
 first
start here, but she has recorded two encouraging barrier trials, winning the
latest. Any betting support for her should be taken seriously.

Race 4.
PRIM AND PROPER is
a 3yr old filly taking on boys, but she was only beaten in the shadow of the
post last time out over this c&d when attracting plenty of betting support.
She starts from a handy three gate and will get 3kgs taken off her back thanks
to her claiming apprentice. ZIEBELL has cracked pole position and was just one
length behind the winner in his last outing over five furlongs. He looks the
immediate danger to the former.
BOOMTASTIC is also a 3yr
old filly who has her first run since a 24 week break. She drops in trip from
her last start over six furlongs and could be involved in the finish here. LA VINA is yet another 3yr old filly. She has her
peak run today and drops back from seven furlongs of her last outing. She is
likely to be doing her best work late.

Race 5.
LAVERROD has
his hat-trick attempt here after winning his last start over this distance. He
jumps from draw three and the trio of victories is very much a reality. KAY CEE is a 3yr old filly taking on males and returns
from a 26 week rest, but she has won both of his barrier trials and should be
regarded as a big runner in this field.
KARIJINI AURORA is also a 3yr old filly. She attempts her
fourth win in a row and from her handy four gate, she should be viewed as a
serious threat to the top two selections. BABY BLUES is the third 3yr old fillies taken to finish in
the top four placings. She has pulled pole position and should be right up
there in the mix.

Race 6.
BLACK DUCATI is
a 4yr old filly taking on the boys, but she has consistent form to her name and
whilst finishing 0.8L behind MASSIMO last time out over
seven furlongs, she is 1kg better off at today’s weights. They both drop in
trip, but there should not be much between the pair in the dash down to the
wire. SIR MAMBO finished strongly when
second last time out over the c&d and a repeat of that effort should see
him involved in the finish today. FRED DAG showed good
improvement in his last outing over five furlongs and if equally effective over
the extra ground, he should be considered here.

Race 7.
SON OF A GOD has
recorded four wins on the bounce, the last two over six furlongs, but he did
win over this trip three runs back, so the drop in trip should not be an issue
.
STATE ATTORNEY
finished second last
time out over five furlongs, only a head behind the victor. He should be right
up there in the firing line. WANNA BE GOOD
gets a set of blinkers
fitted for the first time and if these have the desired effect, he should make
his presence felt here.
BADGE OF COURAGE finished fourth last time out over 1100M and is sure to appreciate the
drop in distance today.

Race 8.
RESORTMAN is unbeaten
in all three of his runs to date and did post his last win over the c&d. He
gets to jump from gate nine and will be hoping to remain undefeated after
today’s run. SHOWMANSHIP won over six furlongs at this venue last time
out and should be right at home over the extra ground.
BRUCE ALMIGHTY won
over the seven furlongs in his last outing and has pole position. He should be
included in all bets. MOSCHARD was 2.6L behind the winner last time out
over this distance where he finished off his race well. He is likely to be picking
off the frontrunners in the latter stages.

Race 9.
ZEPHYR QUEEN is
a 4yr old filly taking on males, but she won her last start over the c&d
from gun to tape and may prove difficult to reel in over the closing stages of
the contest. WESTERN PRIDE is another 4yr old
filly. She returns from a year’s break and has her first run for her new
trainer, but is unbeaten in all three outings so far. She has had two barrier
trials and will be hoping to continue her run of victories today.
ATHLONE CASTLE
has his hat-trick run here. He
steps up in distance from the 1100M of his last win, but this should not
present a problem. He will have his cause aided by having 3kgs taken off his
back thanks to his claiming apprentice. NO APOLOGY has his second run after a 15 week break, but he
showed good improvement in his comeback outing over six furlongs and if not in
need of one more run, he should be respected here.
