Race 1 – 07:25 – 1618m
– 2YO and Up Maiden
Selections: 4 – 1 – 5
– 3 – 7
EL CARDERO is
still a maiden after seven course appearances. His best form has come over this
trip and in a very modest field of opposition this time, he finds conditions to
suit and he should leave the maidens here. ROBYN’S
SON
has been in good consistent form over slightly shorter. He lands a
decent draw for his first attempt over this sort of ground and if that recent
effort over 1400m is anything to go on, he should feature in the finish. SWIPE IT and NOBEL RIZE are the best of the rest form wise, but they will need
to improve to win here.
Race 2 – 08:05 –
1113m – 3YO and Up Maiden
Selections: 7 – 10 –
8 – 1 – 2

INDISISIVE
enjoyed dropping back to this trip last time, when almost leading from pillar
to post. The 4-year old mare will just need to repeat that effort here and she
should be good enough to win this time. AEROLITE
finished behind the top selection on debut and the 3-year old daughter of Smart
Missile will be looking to go a lot closer this time, from an improved draw.
The 3kg claim off her back is also going to aid her cause. SCENIC CHARM stems from that same form line mentioned above, when
finishing just in front of the latter. She lands an even wider draw this time
and may find things tougher as a result. ALWAYS
EASY
also has a wide barrier to overcome, but if able to repeat his
penultimate start he can feature in the finish.

Race 3 – 08:45 –
1113m – 2YO and Up MR54+ Handicap
Selection: 7 – 2 – 6
– 5 – 10
FULLY STOKED has
a decent opportunity to add another win to his record here. Drawn on the rail, he
will be looking to settle a little handier this time and on best form he can
overhaul this modest field. CHISANO
won her only attempt when stepping up to this trip three starts back.
Apprentice Victoria Carver regains the ride having ridden her on that occasion
and she deserves respect in this line up.
ROCK THE PLANET and ADMIRAL HUSSON have both been knocking
on the door in recent times and have the credentials to go into contention.
Race 4 – 09:15 –
1113m – 3YO and Up MR64+ Handicap
Selections: 3 – 4 – 1
– 9 – 5
BLACK DYNAMITE
has been a consistent performer over this trip despite not winning in 16
attempts. If repeating that penultimate run in slightly stronger company, he
should be able to overhaul this field. KHAN
arrives on the back of a smart effort last time out and with the 3kg claim off
his back this time, he drops slightly in class and looks the biggest danger to the
top one. CALABRIA JOE made up ground
to finish 4th from midfield last time out, when stepping up slightly in trip.
On his penultimate start over this trip he should go even closer here. STELLAR IGNITION was drawn wide and
didn’t appreciate the rise to 1413m in that penultimate run and he duly
followed up with an improved run over 1200m last time. That was in stronger
company and the 6-year old gelding can find a place here.
Race 5 – 09:45 –
1618m – 2YO and Up MR56+ Handicap
Selections: 8 – 6 – 2
– 5 – 1
ZIERA seems to
have followed that maiden win four starts back with some fair form. The 3-year
old daughter of Trade Fair ran on strongly from midfield in that latest effort
and if building on that run over the same course and distance this time, she
should go close to winning. MISS
FLAMBOYANCE
is better over this trip and the 4-year old Savabeel mare finds
a plum draw with Brodie Kirby up, for her shot at that second career win. BROTHER RAND and BOBCAT BOY have both
won twice over this trip and they will be searching for their best form to have
any chance of winning here.
Race 6 – 10:15 –
1413m – 2YO and Up MR55+ Handicap
Selections: 1 – 3 – 5
– 4 – 2
RED EPIC steps
back up to the mile after an impressive win over 1200m last time out. With two
wins and two seconds from six attempts over this trip, the extra ground will
suit, and he can follow up here. ASHBURN
bids for a hat-trick of wins as he steps up to the mile for the second time in
his career. He won his first attempt over this trip and with Natasha Faithfull
retaining the ride from pole position, he can go close here. HAYSTACKS and DANEFIN both have good consistent form and can feature in this line
up.
Race 7 – 10:45 –
1213m – 3YO and Up Class 1 Handicap MR48+
Selections: 5 – 7 – 3
– 12 – 2
PICTURE SHOW followed
up that maiden win over this course and distance with a solid effort last time
and she may have gone a lot closer had she not been caught as far back as he
was. The 3kg claim will assist and with scope for improvement, she should be
one of the leading contenders at the business end. BITOVEMU hasn’t quite shaped in her last two starts and the 4-year
old mare will be looking to find her earlier form which should result in a
winning chance here. MAFKI AMOUR
gave a good sight when returning for her first run this year and with the
expected improvement, she should be right there at the finish. BALRANTO is due another win and on her
penultimate start can feature.
