Race 2
Two
4yr old fillies could fight it out for top honors here, with the nod going to COLD
BEERS,
 who is seldom too far
off the action and has cracked pole position. She steps up in distance, but
there is nothing to suggest that this will not be within her grasp. HALO’S QUEST has
finished second in her last two starts and will be hoping to go one better
today, despite having a wide draw to deal with. OSIRIS drops back to seven furlongs and if repeating his
penultimate effort over the trip, he should be involved in the finish.
CLINGSTONE
PEACH
finished second last time out, beaten under
two lengths over the seven furlongs. He is drawn the widest of them all, but on
the plus side, he will get 3kgs taken off his back thanks to his claiming
apprentice.

Race 3
SHE
ZED SO
is a 5yr old mare who
stayed on well last time out over a mile suggesting that the extra ground will
be to her liking, this supported by the fact that she put in a solid effort
over ten furlongs three runs back. Her cause will be aided by the fact that she
has pulled pole position.  IT’S TRUMPS steps up in
trip, but he was making good late progress last time out over 1500M and seems
likely to enjoy going the extra ground. TRADING STOCK was
a wide draw to negotiate, but he likes to race up with the speed, so this might
not be such a big issue.
LEICA SECOND CHANCE takes a big rise in distance, but he may well
be looking for this greater test of stamina.

Race 4
GO
BALLISTIC
 has improved in his
last two starts and was just beaten a head last time out over a mile. From his
gate two, he should be right up there in the run down to the line.
EASY
SHERIFF
stayed on well when finishing 1.8L behind the
winner last time out over a mile. On that effort, he should appreciate going
the extra distance on offer today. CENTENARY SHOT drops back from 2100M
of his last outing to nine furlongs and will get the services of a 2kg claiming
apprentice. NOBLE
ROCKS
 followed up his
win over a mile three runs back with two solid efforts over the same trip. He
goes the nine furlongs here, but he was running on in the latter stages of his
latest start and should have no issue with the extra ground.

Race 5
With
the four scratchings, two of which were fancied runners, the way may be cleared
for QUIET LUCKY
 to chalk up his
third career victory. He has consistent formlines to his credit and starts from
a handy draw.
OUR DEXTER is drawn
one outside the former and a repeat of his penultimate run over 1300M would
make him a big threat to the top choice. SPECTATE showed marked improvement when running on well
last time out over six furlongs to only be denied victory in the shadow of the
post. On that effort, the extra is sure to be to his liking.
TEMPERS
FLARE
is drawn in pole position and was staying on well in his last outing
over this distance. He is sure to be doing his best work late.

Race 6
BELLA
is a 5yr old mare taking on males, but she has been beaten by less than a
length in her last three runs and will be hoping to be rewarded for that
consistency today. She has her peak run here and has drawn pole position. CELERITATE
REGEM
 has finished second in
his last two outings. He steps up in distance here, but he was making good late
progress last time out over five furlongs and should handle the extra ground.
CHAMPAGNE
PEARL
is a 6yr old mare who won her last start over
1100M. She is drawn in gate two and will have 3kg removed from her allocated
weight courtesy of her claiming apprentice. GINGERJACK returns from a lengthy 35 week break and has not
had a barrier trial. He takes a significant drop in distance, but if returning
fresh, he could spring a surprise here.

Race 7

MONSTERS INC finished strongly to win on debut over 1100M and
could be almost anything. He would have come on with the run under his belt and
could complete the double here. TAVINO returns from a 23 week rest and drops in trip after a
victory last time out over 1300M before the break. He has not had the benefit
of a barrier trial, but has pulled pole position and should be one of the main
players today. CATARACTA
and is a 5yr old mare taking on the boys and has her first run since a 26
week break. She is a speedy sort who is drawn one outside the latter and who
seldom finishes too far off the action.
CHALCIDIAN is also a 5yr
old mare. She drops in distance here, but she does have consistent form to her
name. She likes to race up with the pace and from her handy draw, she should be
considered for all bets.
