Race 1
CALL ME LEGEND finished well over 1100M to win his maiden race last time out and on that effort, he should relish the extra ground on offer here. COUNT OF ESSEX was narrowly defeated when finishing third last time out over this c&d. He does have the widest draw of them all, but he should be doing his best work late. BON AIRE stayed on well in his last outing over the c&d and from his gate six draw, he should be involved in the finish today. DUNKIRK was a little disappointing last time out over the c&d, but a repeat of his penultimate effort would see him right up there in the dash down to the line.

Race 2
PRINCE PLANET has his hat-trick attempt after winning his last two starts over 1100M. He drew clear of the opposition in both those victories, suggesting that the step up in trip will be to his liking. DON’T WAIT stayed on well in his last outing over 1100M when finishing 2.8L behind the winner. He is drawn in gate two and could threaten the top choice. LOOKING FOR YOU missed out on his hat-trick last time out over 1100M, but did win his penultimate start over this c&d, so the step up in trip will not be an issue. TAIPEI DANCER is a 5yr old mare taking on the boys, but she was only beaten a half-length last time over the c&d and should give the males a good run for their money.

Race 3
DEFENCE ATTORNEY was beaten a head last time out over the c&d when attracting plenty of betting support. He has draw two today and will be looking to make amends here. ESCONDIDO won his maiden race last time out over 1100M at this venue. He takes on stronger and is drawn the widest of them all, but nevertheless, he should be considered for all bets. EXTOLMENT finished strongly to win his last outing over the c&d and will be hoping to complete the double here. FORT NECESSITY finished third over 1100M last time out when returning from a 12-week break. If not in need of one more run, he should be afforded a good deal of respect.

Race 4
CRAZY LAD finished second on debut over the c&d. He would have learnt from the experience and with the natural improvement that can be expected, he may be able to exit the maiden ranks at the second time of asking. AUTOCRATIC returns from a 16-week rest and has his first run for his new trainer. If fully settled into his new environment, he could pose a threat to the former based on his prior performances. TESTINO has his first run since an even longer 26-week break. He finished second in his last outing over five furlongs before the rest and if not too much in need of the run, he should be considered here. His draw two is a plus. MIGHTY BEAU has his first outing for his new conditioner. If he is settled into his new surroundings, he should be respected, jumping from pole position.

Race 5
SO STOIC followed up his victory over five furlongs after returning from a 14-week rest with a disappointing next start over six furlongs. He drops back in distance here and if bouncing back to his better form he should be a big runner here, jumping from his handy four draw. HIGH COST finished well to win his last start over 1300M. He drops down in trip, but has pole position and should be chasing down the frontrunners at the business end of affairs. SUPER BRYAN has his first run for his new trainer. His last effort before his move should be totally ignored as he was severely hampered in the closing stages. If he has settled into his new surroundings, he should be right up there in the mix. CLEVER TOMMY has his peak run here and if he can recapture the form of his outing three back, he could pose a threat to the top three selections.

Race 6
BLACK HAZE has finished second in his last two starts, the penultimate run of which was over the c&d. He jumps from gate three and will be hoping to go one better today. SHUDAPUTARINGONIT is an 8yr old mare who finished strongly to win her last start over this c&d after returning from a 11 week rest. She takes on males and is drawn nine out of the ten runners, but she should be doing her best work late. DANCER’S KIN was immediately rested for 17 weeks after a disappointing effort over five furlongs at this track. He returns to claim pole position and if not too much in need of the run, he could surprise the top two selections. NO ALIBI is a 5yr old mare who stayed on well in her last start over the c&d. she is not without a chance in this field.
