Race 2
BLACK MIRROR is a 3yr old filly taking on the boys, but she has finished close up in both of her starts to date, the latest being over this distance. From her handy draw three, she is sure to give the males a good run for their money. ARCTIC WOLF showed the expected improvement second time out. He has a very wide draw to overcome, but he should be doing his best work late. RED LION, on the other hand, has a handy draw and was only beaten 0.8L last time out over the seven furlongs. He should be involved in the finish here. DELIVID stayed on well in his last outing over seven furlongs and should not be overlooked in this line-up.

Race 3
OLD HEAD has finished second in all three of his runs so far and although he has the widest draw of them all, he still looks like the one that they all have to beat today. RESOLUTE LAD has only had the two runs, but improved when stepping up to 1300M last time out. He is drawn in gate ten, but the further increase in distance could well be to his liking. NUBE VIAJERA finished fourth on debut over 1300M. He would have learnt from the experience and with the natural improvement that can be expected, he should pose a threat to the top two selections. MARK THE HORSE is drawn wide at twelve, but he possesses the necessary early gate speed to be able to get across without using up too much energy.

Race 4
MOSSCON has put in two solid runs over 1100M and will appreciate the drop in trip. She does have a wide draw to negotiate but nonetheless should be considered a big runner here. SPITEFUL is seldom too far off the winner. She has her first run for 17 weeks and for her new trainer, but if fully settled into her new surroundings, she could be a danger to the former. HOT IN PARIS returns from a 19-week rest. She drops in trip, but if she is able to repeat her effort over the c&d three runs back, she should be right up there in the dash down to the wire. MZURI STAR has only had the two runs, but she was close up in both outings. She gets a set of blinkers fitted for the first time and if these have the desired effect, she should be respected today.

Race 5
This looks a tricky race and the scratching of one of the early fancied runners has not made things any easier. The very tentative top pick goes to MISTER MOGUL who was disappointing last time out when tiring quickly over 1050M to finish some way back, but he did win his penultimate start over five furlongs and will be hoping to bounce back to that type of form today. AN’TFORGETYOU is a 5yr old mare taking on males, but she has cracked pole position and is sure to keep the boys honest. FILL THE FLUTE is also a 5yr old mare. She has her first run since a 21 week break and has not had a barrier trial, so her fitness will need to be taken on trust. She will jump from gate two which is a plus. HONORELLAY won his last outing over five furlongs when friendless in the betting markets. He will be hoping to score the double today.

Race 6
Four fillies/mares look to dominate the finish of this race and they could complete the quartet. TOO EASY SIS was an easy winner over 1100M on debut and could be almost anything. She is drawn ten out of the eighteen runners, but she could be good enough to complete the double here. CARWELKIN last two runs have been solid, winning the latest by some 1.3L and she could represent the biggest danger to the top choice. NEED NEW FRIENDS returns after a 21 week and drops in distance. From her gate two, she should be right up there in the mix. DOVES CRY has her first run since a 16-week lay-off, but finished seventh over five furlongs in her last start prior to the break, only two lengths back and is not without a chance in this field.

Race 7
ANALYTICA has consistent form to his name. he finished third last time out over the mile, just one length adrift of the winner. From gate two, he should be right up there in the firing line. TE ATA is a 5yr old mare taking on boys, but she won her penultimate outing over seven furlongs and then finished fourth, 1.6L behind the victor last time out over the c&d. She should be right up there to pick up the pieces should the top choice fluff his lines. OKOTOKS has solid form over a mile to his credit and should be included in all bets. QUEEN LA DIVA is a 4yr old filly who steps up to the mile today, but she finished strongly last time out over six furlongs suggesting that the extra ground on offer here will be to her liking.

Race 8
REINE HAPPY was not far back in his last outing over seven furlongs and did win his run prior to that over the c&d. He will be aided by his two draw and the fact that he gets 4kgs taken off his back thanks to his claiming apprentice. AWAY CRUISING is a 4yr old filly taking on males and has her first run after a 22-week rest. She has not had the benefit of a barrier trial, but has pulled pole position and could threaten the former. SNITZ AND THE CITY is another 4yr old filly. She won her last outing over 1100M and should have no issue stepping up to the extra distance. SEAS NO LIMIT returns from a lengthy 69-week break and takes a significant drop in distance. He returns without having had a barrier trial, but this may be to his advantage as he should have freshened up during the rest and enjoy the shorter trip to start with.
