Race 1.
BRIGALOW
QUEEN
 is a 3yr old filly
taking on the boys, but she was just a neck behind the winner last time out
over 800M when returning from a 28 week break. She has a handy four draw and
could be the one that they all have to beat. EL NINO’S CHOICE returns from a 36
week rest and has not had the benefit of a barrier trial. He has cracked pole
position and may prove to be the biggest danger to the former. STAZZANA is a 4yr old
filly who has her first run since a 18 week break and her first outing for her
new trainer. If fully settled into her new surroundings, she should be involved
in the finish here. TOY WHITTY is a
2yr old taking on older horses. He finished fourth last time out over 1090M
when returning from a 16 week rest and will be aided by having 3kgs removed
from his back thanks to his claiming apprentice.

Race 2.
MAHRATTA finished strongly last time out over 1212M at this
venue and is sure to enjoy going over the extra distance. He has pulled pole
position and should be right up there when they hit the line. JOE ALBERT has his
hat-trick attempt and did win his last outing over this c&d. He looks to be
the immediate threat to the top choice. UBIRR ROCK is
a 5yr old mare taking on males, but she stayed on well in her last start over
1212M and will have 3kgs removed from her allocated weight courtesy of her
claiming apprentice. LAYLA’S LAD also
stayed on in his last outing over 1380M at this venue and should be doing his
best work late.

Race 3.
EIGHT
OVER
 is a 4yr old filly
taking on boys, but she showed plenty of pace to win her last run over 850M and
will have 3kgs taken off her back for the services of her claiming apprentice. She
could prove to be difficult to topple here. LAST ARMAGEDDON finished close up in
his latest outing over 850M and is likely to enjoy going over the extra ground
here. AL’S BRIEFS is a 7yr old
mare who only failed by a neck to win her last start over 850M. She has her
peak run here and should be respected in this line-up. BLACK ENVY is a 6yr old
mare who was a little one pace last time out over the 850M, but may well do
better over the added journey.

Race 4.
GODFATHER’S
GIRL
 is a 4yr old filly
taking on males, but she battled on gamely in her last outing over 800M when
only going down by 0.2L. On that performance, she is sure to appreciate the
extra distance of today’s contest. HAVASHOUT stayed
on well in his last run over the c&d and should keep the top selection
honest. NICCO’S LASS is
a 7yr old mare who has her peak run here and who was beaten a neck last time
out over the c&d. From her handy four gate, she should be respected. ROYAL EQUIANO is a 5yr
old mare who didn’t quite quicken in her latest run over this c&d in soft
going. Nevertheless, she should be given another chance here.

Race 5.
CRISSCROSS only just failed to win his last outing over 1212M when
outrun very last. He will have a 3kg claiming apprentice in the saddle today
and should be viewed as a big runner in this field. WINDQUEST is a 5yr old mare taking on some
hard-knocking males, but she missed out on her hat-trick last time out over the
c&d and will be looking to bounce back to winning ways today. AXIS finished
third last time out over the c&d and although having a wideish eight draw
to negotiate, he should be right up there in the mix. GAMBIT
 returns
from a 11 week rest and takes a marked drop in distance from the nine furlongs
of his latest start. If not finding the trip too sharp, he could be one to
cause a surprise.

Race 6.
ME
AS I AM
 is a 4yr old filly
taking on the boys, but she finished strongly last time out over five furlongs
and seems likely to appreciate the extra ground on offer here. Her handy four
draw is a plus. WILD ELEMENT won
well last time out over 1090M when holding off all challengers in the latter
stages and should ensure that the former knows that she has been in a race. NINE CIGARS drops in distance
today, but he looked a likely winner last time out over 1380M and should enjoy
the drop in trip. DUELLATOR
showed pace last time out over 1100M and was only reeled in late that day and
should relish the slightly shorter distance. The gelding will be aided by
having 2kgs taken off his back thanks to his claiming apprentice.
