Race 3
RAPID ACE has won or been placed in all four of his races to date. He likes to race up with the pace and may prove the one that they all have to beat. READY TO ROAM will get 2kgs taken off his back thanks to his claiming apprentice and the drop in distance is sure to suit him. DON’TDIE WONDERING is a 3yr old filly taking on the boys, but she led throughout to win her maiden last time out over this trip in soft going and could follow up here. SANDY TOWN is a 4yr old filly who returns from a 15-week rest. She jumps from pole position and had an improved last start.

Race 4
DONE IT AGAIN drops in trip after a fair last effort over six furlongs and is likely to enjoy that fact. He likes the soft underfoot conditions and is a leading contender today. CLEAR THE BILL is another who likes soft going and his last two efforts have been encouraging. He has a wide draw to deal with, but he nevertheless can’t be overlooked. EEYORE is a speedy sort who had a good run last time out over this trip and may prove difficult to overhaul in the latter stages. NO BETTER MOMENT was not too far behind last time out over the trip and also enjoys the cut in the ground.

Race 5
NICHOLAS finished strongly last time out over a mile to only narrowly miss out on victory. He has a handy draw and enjoys the soft going. HALLSIDE FANDANGO is a 4yr old filly taking on males, but she won her last outing over 1300M and has had a good trial since then. JOYMAKER is also a 4yr old filly who steps up in distance, but has pulled pole position and should be considered today. CORPORAL gets a set of blinkers fitted for the first time and if these have the desired effect, he would be a runner here.

Race 6
A large field faces the starter here and the race has an open look about it. The narrow first selection is APITHANOS who returns from a 29-week rest and has his first start for his new trainer. His barrier trial was encouraging and if fully settled into his new environment, he should be right up there when they hit the line. REDOUTE’S SPIRIT finished second on debut over five furlongs. He would no doubt have come on with the run and if suited to the extra distance, he must be considered the danger to the former. VALET jumps from pole position and enjoys the soft going and should not be overlooked. FEDERAL AGENT has a wide draw to negotiate, but he has the early gate speed to get across without using up too much energy.

Race 7
SUGAR BOOM is a 3yr old filly who returns from a 14-week rest, but she did win both of her barrier trials to prove her fitness. She was denied her hat-trick in her last outing over six furlongs and will be hoping to get back to winning ways today. GO DEEP won his penultimate start over this trip and should once again be involved in the finish here. JAGGED EDGE looks to be better over this trip and is one for the shortlist. READY TO ROAM has a wide draw, but gets the blinkers refitted and likes the sting out of the ground.

Race 8
Another big field faces punters where finding the winner is no easy task. The weak selection goes to EMPIRE GAMES who jumps from a handy draw. He drops back to seven furlongs after appearing not to stay the nine furlongs last time out. On his prior form, he should be right up there in the firing line. ENDLESS MYSTERY finished strongly to win his last start over this trip and looks the immediate danger to the former. That was his maiden win, but it came on soft going which will be a plus here. POETIC CHOICE is another who likes the wet conditions. He goes the extra trip for the first time, but he may just be looking for this greater test of stamina. MUSIC AWARD won his last start to break his maiden. That was also on a soft track and although taking on stronger here, he should be considered.

Race 9
A tricky last race on today’s program and some caution is advised. The tentative top pick goes to MY BOY SAM who reverts back to six furlongs, which appears to suit him better than the five furlongs of his last start. ILLUMINAIRE is a 4yr old filly taking on the boys and returns after a 32-week break. She has her first run for her new trainer, but if not in need of the run, she would test the former. TREVELLO won his last start over five furlongs and should have no issue stepping up to six furlongs. He starts from gate two and must be considered for all bets. COASTAL BOY has not finished far off the winner in his last three starts over this distance and it would be disappointing if he was not involved in the finish once again.
