ACADEMIC GOLD has finished close up in both of her starts to date, the latest being over this c&d. She was bumped at the 100M mark in that outing and may have won the race, but for that incident. If she is able to repeat that effort, she should be involved in the finish here.

TURN IT UP HARVEY’S last two runs over this trip have been encouraging and from his handy draw and with in-form Aldo Domeyer in the saddle, he looks to be the one to side with here.

JACQUELINE returns to Cape Town after recording an impressive win over ten furlongs at Hollywoodbets Greyville last time out. She looks a fair sort in the making and if over her travels, she may be the one that they all have to beat. She has only finished out of the top three once in her seven outings to date.

Jockey:B Fayd’Herbe – Trainer: G Puller

JAY ROCK had to be switched in the closing stages of his last run over a mile and may well have won the race, but for that interference. He does have the widest draw to contend with, but he should be picking off the frontrunners in the run down to the line.

Jockey: C Orffer – Trainer: M Robinson

LUNAR TUNES won her maiden over this distance and then followed that up with a creditable third-place finish over the same distance. She set the pace that day and was only reeled in late. She is likely to adopt similar tactics today and may prove difficult to overhaul in the closing stages.
