TOO PHAT TO FLY is only 0.5kg out at the weights with the best rated pairing of fellow three-year old MISS KATALIN and the five-year old CAPTAIN’S FLAME. She had excuses for her poor Guineas performance but did finish ahead of MISS KATALIN in their previous two clashes (28/10 & 24/06). This capable daughter of Bezrin will enjoy this distance with her low mass.

The country’s top event over the mile sees many familiar faces renew their rivalry and the defending champion LEGAL EAGLE makes his debut for his new owners. The champion miler made it a ‘magificent 7’ as he finished well to keep his unbeaten record over this distance intact. His old adversary CAPTAIN AMERICA got within a length of him that day but the highest rated runner in the country seemed to have a bit in hand and he is again the one to beat. SAFE HARBOUR thrived in this province last campaign where she almost lowered the colours of the brilliant Bela-Bela in this event, shortly after nearly capturing the Fillies Guineas. The four-year old was slightly below-par thereafter but she had a decent comeback run in the ‘Mother City’ six weeks ago. She will prefer this step-up in distance and can defy the weights.
