She finished strongly for a close 3rd in a highly competitive line-up over this c & d three weeks ago and that formline is worth following. The Snaith inmate will be cherry-ripe now.

Race 4: LIQUID DYNAMITE(1)
Jockey: Grant VAN NIEKERK – Trainer: Darry HODGSON
LIQUID DYNAMITE may have suffered a setback that lead to the twelve week break but he showed no ill effects when producing an eye-catching comeback run in a strong field four weeks ago. The well-related bay colt ran on well for 2nd over nine furlongs that day and he should strip fitter now. The slight drop in distance is a worry but he will be sharper this time around and certainly has scope for progress.
Race 6: SUNSET EYES(7)
Jockey: Corne ORFFER – Trainer: Brett CRAWFORD
The solitary three-year-old SUNSET EYES is above-average and has been extremely well placed by his top conditioner in this highly competitive but very small handicap field. The speedy son of Western Winter is ideally c & d suited and should have no issue dictating his own terms from the best draw. He just needed his comeback sprint after being gelded and will be fitter now. He still has good improvement to come. Interestingly, all of his half a dozen rivals prefer a solid gallop so that should play right into his hands.
Race 7: QUICKFIRE(2)
Jockey: Richard FOURIE – Trainer: Glen KOTZEN
The Glen Kotzen stable holds a strong hand in this low-key handicap sprint and riding engagements indicate that the improving QUICKFIRE is strongly preferred. The son of Querari reverts to sprinting after two useful handicap performances over seven furlongs and he still has lots of improvement to come.
Race 3: GADGET MAN(1)
Jockey: Aldo DOMEYER – Trainer: Dean KANNEMYER
GADGET MAN has shown promise but probably found the mile too far for him last time. However, that formline has worked out really wel and the Kannemeyer inmate had bright form up to seven furlongs prior to that. He produced his career best effort over this c & d and can go one better today. The three-year bay gelding is his yard’s only entrant on the day.
