Best Bet: SHEPARDS HYMN (Race 2)
Value Bet: WIND TRAIL (Race 6)

The opener on the program is a modest Class 5 sprint over the 6-furlongs. STARDICE has been lightly raced of late, but he appears to have found a great opportunity here. SUN ELIZABETH could be the biggest danger and deserves inclusion in an open race.

A Restricted Maiden over the mile follows the opening race and SHEPARDS HYMN will be looking to land in the winners’ box at the third time of asking, for his connections. The son of So You Think showed good improvement in his second start and looks tough to oppose, with plenty more scope for progression. He should be one of the better bets on the card.

IRONCLAD looks hard to knock in recent efforts. He isn’t drawn well but if they set a decent clip up front, he could be the right one to side with in the 3rd race.

The forth race is a Class 5 mile and it looks like quite an open race. PRINCE PEGASUS finds a suitable race in weak company to make an impression and he gets the services of Vlad Duric. More than capable on his best form and he deserves plenty of respect. EL PRIMERO is worth following again after that latest effort and he should be suited to the rise in trip. He’ll be considered a leading contender here.

THUNDER looked a winner a long way out in his last outing. The form of that race has been quite strong, and a repeat of that last run should make him tough to beat in the 5th race. IRON RULER is lightly-raced and has the upside to continue to improve. He should have no problem stepping up marginally in journey, so his followers can expect a big run.

The 6th race is a Class 3 trip over 9-furlongs and WIND TRAIL should be worth following. He returned in good order, fresh behind a smart horse last time. He should strip fitter for this assignment and is capable of fighting out the finish with the race run to suit. DICTON has been finding it hard to win but brings a class edge to this affair. He’ll be worth including on best credentials.

Race 7 brings us the Kranji Stakes, a Set Weights feature over 9-furlongs and SUN MARSH
ALL is tipped to win. The Singapore Derby winner ran a great race in defeat last time behind COUNTOFMONTECRISTO and if in the same vein of form, he can win this. KING LOUIS has his first run out of Group company since last April. He was a bit below-par in the Chairman’s Trophy, but he is better than that and can return to form with a solid performance here. A must for the top four.

Back to 1400m for the final Turf race on the card and OCEAN CROSSING will be the first selection. He will be fitter with this being his second run back and with a bit of luck from barrier 8, should take some beating. GALAXY STAR looks the biggest danger to the top one. He comes off the back of a decent effort last time and the form of that run has been decent. With Vlad Duric taking the mount, he must be a consideration for punters.

RED ROVER looks a capable sprinting type to bring home the lions’ share of the prize money in the penultimate race on the card, a 5-fulong dash on the Poly. If he gets the right run, he can win here.
WATER ROCKET looks the right one to side with in the last race. He is back in distance and switches to the Poly surface now, where he won two starts back. From a handy position, he will be involved in the finish. The biggest danger should be MY BIG BOSS who comes off the back of win at this level last time. From a plum draw, he must be included.
