Warwick Best Bets

Race 2: BOURBON BEAUTY (1) (Nap)

Trainer: Alex Hales – Jockey: Harry Bannister

As long as her battle with Wild Polly at Kelso hasn’t left its mark, BOURBON BEAUTY should manage to defy a penalty in this mares’ novices’ hurdle. The five-year-old has improved from race to race this season and although opposed by the well regarded Hunny Moon, can have the edge on that rival.

Race 3: (13) YOURHOLIDAYISOVER (Each Way)

Trainer: Lady Susan Brooke – Jockey: Miss L Brooke

Infrequent winner YOURHOLIDAYISOVER looks poised for an earning run in this two-mile handicap chase over terrain on which he put in a seasonal best to chase home Eurkash last time. The veteran often finds little off the bridle, but in a race that should be run to suit can prove competitive at the business end.

Race 6: SKIPPING ON (1) (Each Way)

Trainer: Laura Morgan – Jockey: Adam Wedge

For sheer consistency, SKIPPING ON would be a deserving winner of this handicap chase. In his last 14 starts for current connections, the veteran has won three chases and a hurdle and been in the money on eight other occasions. It makes him an ultra-reliable win and place entity, and the prevailing deep ground will be right up his street.

Lingfield Park Best Bets

Race 3: THAPA VC (2)

Trainer: Sir Mark Prescott – Jockey: Luke Morris

The hooded THAPA VC steered the usual course for a back end two-year-old from this stable, having two readying runs to gain a mark and then delivering on first handicap assignment. He took out that Wolverhampton prize a shade snugly and is bred to appreciate today’s step up to a mile.

Race 5: QUEEN’S COURSE (4)

Trainer: David O’Meara – Jockey: Danny Tudhope

Long-distance traveller QUEEN’S COURSE has the wherewithal to make this a third triumph from her last four outings. The daughter of Gleneagles delivered at Newcastle and over today’s course and distance, only to be denied in a photo on her latest start here when going for the hat-trick. She clearly loves the Surrey air and looks a definite bet to bounce back.

Race 6: PRIVACY (11) (Nap)

Trainer: David Menuisier – Jockey: Richard Kingscote

Menuisier isn’t best known for his record with juveniles but in PRIVACY he has a filly primed to take out this median auction maiden stakes. The Swiss Spirit filly shaped in eye taking style to trouble the judge on her Chelmsford introduction and has shown in her work that she’s learned plenty from it.

Newcastle Best Bets

Race 1: SEA LA ROSA (10)

Trainer: William Haggas – Jockey: TBC

SEA LA ROSA had her wings clipped by Loving Dream at Wolverhampton but must be given the chance to go one better for top connections. The daughter of Sea The Stars will be cherry ripe against stablemate Lochnaver in a race the pair may well dominate.

Race 5: VIVE LA DIFFERENCE (1) (Nap)

Trainer: Tim Easterby – Jockey: TBC

VIVE LA DIFFERENCE did us a favour on Monday and can strike while the iron’s hot before the handicapper has the chance to reassess him. He confirmed his liking for the Gosforth Park all-weather track by storming home, repeating his similar form from exactly a year ago at the same course.
