LINGFIELD PARK

Race 4 No3 PHOENIX GLOW
Trainer: Jack Channon – Jockey: George Bass

PHOENIX GLOW wasn’t beaten far in a bunch finish at Kempton after scoring on her seasonal reappearance at Chelmsford. She skipped an opportunity last week to wait for this, and can put another winner on the board for her rookie trainer.

Race 7 No5 COME ON GIRL (Nap)
Trainer: Mike Appleby – Jockey: Oisin Murphy

After a string of earning efforts this should be COME ON GIRL’s day. The grey much prefers this track where all but one of her five career successes have happened. Put a line through her recent defeat at Chelmsford and a repeat of any of her previous three runs here would put the mare in with a major shout.

LUDLOW

Race 1 No6 GAYE LEGACY
Trainer: Tom Symonds – Jockey: Benjamin Poste

In colours synonymous with some high-class hurdlers on yesteryear, GAYE LEGACY can take care of business in this mares’ novices’ hurdle. It was only by a nose that she failed to open her account at Warwick, while connections appear to have found her at least as good an opportunity

Race 5 No8 REGAL RENAISSANCE (Each Way)
Trainer: Henry Daly – Jockey: Richard Patrick

REGAL RENAISSANCE stepped up on previous efforts to open her account over this course and distance before Christmas. She’s fresh and well for this first outing in over three months, and can give a good account for her locally-based trainer.

Race 6 No DOM PERRY (Nap)
Trainer: Hughie Morrison – Jockey: Daryl Jacob

DOM PERRY has an eye-catching profile for a trainer that does well with his few runners over jumps. Following a win at Southwell and a solid earning effort on handicap bow at Newbury he should relish this switch to fences, as he has the make and shape for it.

NEWCASTLE

Race 3 No5 VICTORIA FALLS
Trainer: Hugo Palmer – Jockey: Ben Curtis

VICTORIA FALLS has gone 12 since being equipped with a visor. Her recent outings have been confined to Wolverhampton, but she finished second here last autumn in what was her best offering as a juvenile. Curtis is an eye-taking booking for the daughter of Heeraat, who can regain the winning thread.

Race 4 No1 CAMUSDARACH
Trainer: Charlie Johnston – Jockey: Jason Hart

CAMUSDARACH narrowly failed to open his account over a mile on the final of three outings as a juvenile, a performance that earned him a handicap mark. He could have more scope for progressing than his rivals, and with his stamina assured can gone better.

Race 6 No2 SARACEN HEAD (Nap)
Trainer: Hugo Palmer – Jockey: Ben Curtis

In an open heat, SARACEN HEAD can deliver on his handicap bow. The Showcasing colt ran into a couple of smart foes when second to Quintus Arrius at Newcastle and third to Rabaah at Wolverhampton. He faces a doughty opponent in Beelzebub, but can see off the top weight, with Northern Spirit a lively roughie.
