BATH

Race 3 No2 JOY CHOI (Nap)

From a yard that excels with its sprinters at this track, JOY CHOI is the one to beat. She was very easy to back on her return to action here last week but from an unpromising position at halfway finish with great gusto and would have won in a few more strides. The Territories mare is now fine-honed and can go one better.

Race 5 No6 RING OF LIGHT (Each Way)
Trainer: Henry Candy – Jockey: Trevor Whelan

RING OF LIGHT looked to be carrying some condition when finishing just out of the money on return from a protracted absence at Windsor. Beautifully bred for sprinter being by Mayson out of a mare by Paris House, the grey has come on for it and can turn back the clock with a first win in 18 months.

KEMPTON PARK

Race 2 No6 ISOCRATE (Nap)
Trainer: Jonjo O’Neill – Jockey: Jonjo O’Neill Jr

Nicky Henderson’s runners look opposable and a more likely winner is ISOCRATE, who left the cash behind when backed into odds-on at Exeter and is better than that effort indicates. His form is in easy underfoot conditions, and with rain forecast in this part of London, he should be all right on that count.

Race 3 No3 ERNE RIVER (Each Way)
Trainer: Nick Kent – Jockey: Charlie Hammond

ERNE RIVER has endured a topsy-turvy season but if near his best could trouble the best of his foes. Interestingly this is the first time he’s raced on a right-handed track for more than a year. Indeed all five of his career triumphs have been when operating left-handed, but he’s worth chancing to buck that trend.

Race 6 No7 PLAYTOGETAWAY
Trainer: Jonjo O’Neill – Jockey: Jonjo O’Neill Jr

PLAYTOGETAWAY had Inoui Machin behind him when second at Hereford to maintain a consistent earning sequence. He looks another attractive betting proposition for his trainer and jockey at this meeting.

WINDSOR

Race 3 No3 GALYX (Each Way)
Trainer: Jack Channon – Jockey: Charles Bishop

GALYX comes from a family his trainer knows all about. Though well beaten on debut at Newbury he stayed on under an educational ride, and should go forward sufficiently to trouble the judge at a price.

Race 5 No9 TIRIAC (Nap)
Trainer: Jack Channon – Jockey: David Probert

TIRIAC ran well first time back here before failing to justify market support when third at Leicester. Always in his element in easy conditions, he can raise his game now that Probert takes the reins.

BEVERLEY

Race 1 No4 SPRING CORN
Trainer: Tim Easterby – Jockey: David Allan

Ardad colt SPRING CORN took a walk in the market but still shaped with a deal of promise when third on his Ripon introduction. Like most two-year-olds from this stable he is likely to go show benefit from that experience, and from a good draw can win.

Race 4 No2 ARDBRACCAN
Trainer: Mike Appleby – Jockey: Frederick Larson

ARDBRACCAN looked a different mare when returned to turf at Nottingham and scoring with apparent ease. She needs to defy a 6lb rise in the ratings but was at least that much value for her win, and can follow up.

WARWICK

Race 3 No8 THE LAST DROP (Each Way)
Trainer: Richard Phillips – Jockey: Finn Lambert

THE LAST DROP ran well in two bumpers in Ireland before joining her trainer and needed her first outing for him at Southwell. The Mahler mare is going to be more streetwise, and should take away a cheque of some kind.

Race 6 No9 KING’S CASTLE (Each Way)
Trainer: Jeremy Scott – Jockey: Bryan Carver

KING’S CASTLE knocked on the door in a select campaign last season. This is an open race, but if near his paper price (12-1) he’s worth chancing.
