PONTEFRACT

Race 2 No9 HIGHWAYGREY (Each Way)
Trainer: Tim Easterby – Jockey: David Allan

HIGHWAYGREY hasn’t been beaten far in recent outings at Redcar and York, and is a four times winner at this course. He has a good draw and can return to winning ways for a stable just starting to get into gear.

Race 4 No2 HAIZOOM
Trainer: Charlie Johnston – Jockey: Joe Fanning

HAIZOOM made the perfect start for the Johnstons when successful over two miles at Ripon. A 2lb rise for that snug triumph does not appear excessive, and as she’s clearly benefitted from a change of scenery she can add to her laurels.

Race 6 No2 CONCORDE (Nap)
Trainer: George Boughey – Jockey: William Buick

CONCORDE is unfortunate not to have posted a four race winning sequence since being graduated into handicaps. He most recently cosily landed the spoils at Redcar. He’s up a full 7lb for the win, but is a progressive individual who can now complete a fine hat-trick.

FFOS LAS

Race 1 No8 KOJI (Nap)
Trainer: Roger Charlton – Jockey: Kieran Shoemark

KOJI looks the answer to this following an eye taking first offering when strong in the market at Chelmsford. The daughter of Kodiac can improve sufficiently from that promising effort to beat the more experienced Heed The Call.

Race 5 No4 WOODSTOCK
Trainer: Jack Channon – Jockey: Charles Bishop

WOODSTOCK didn’t appear to get home when well backed for his latest start over a mile at Goodwood. The Sixties Icon colt is better than that, and pulled back to seven has a great chance to regain the winning thread.

HEXHAM

Race 1 No6 COUP DE GOLD (Each Way)
Trainer: David Thompson – Jockey: Aaron Anderson

There’s not much of COUP DE GOLD but he’s effective in this type of contest. He’s an infrequent winner, but with a strong pace on the cards he can claim a cheque of some kind.

Race 3 No8 CHAMPANGESOCIALIST (Nap)
Trainer: John McConnell – Jockey: Sean Bowen

McConnell has a great record with his runners in the North and CHAMPAGNESOCIALIST can add to his tally. The mare is an ultra consistent performer, whose big chance is boosted by the addition of first time cheek pieces as well as top pilot Bowen.
