NEWTON ABBOT

Race 2 No2 JUNIPER
Trainer: Anthony Honeyball – Jockey: Harry Cobden

Honeyball has done well with JUNIPER since inheriting the mare from another stable. The ten-year-old has established a good rapport with champion jockey Cobden, and with cheekpieces added to the selection, another success is in the offing, with this tight track sure to suit her.

Race 5 No7 PHOENIX WAY
Trainer: Mrs Caroline Fry – Jockey: Miss Megan Bevan

PHOENIX WAY needs to defy a more than 400-day layoff if he’s to win this Hunter-chase, but the veteran is in good hands, and if able to reproduce anything like his best form should be good enough.

BEVERLEY

Race 3 No9 GET JIGGY WITH IT
Trainer: Charlie Hills – Jockey: Hollie Doyle

Hills likes bringing horses on the long journey from Lambourn and GET JIGGY WITH IT has the points on the board in this 1400 metres maiden. The daughter of Highland Reel has an experience edge on the majority of her foes, and after back-to-back near misses can now put one in the net.

Race 4 No8 POET’S DAWN
Trainer: Tim Easterby – Jockey: Alexander Fielding

POET’S DAWN usually needs a couple of outings to put the edge on him, and with a capable apprentice easing his burden by 7lbs, it might prove unwise to ignore the claims of the senior runner in this Class4 handicap. Adding to the appeal of Easterby’s runner is a plum draw one off the fence.

HAMILTON PARK

Race 2 No1 NAVARRE EXPRESS (Each Way)
Trainer: Hugo Palmer – Jockey: Kevin Stott

NAVARRE EXPRESS failed to cut the mustard when last of seven on her comeback here earlier in the month. She had a good blow after that and with few miles on her racing clock can raise her game, with the slightly longer trip in her favour.

Race 3 No4 JUDGEMENTOFSOLOMON (Nap)
Trainer: Sir Mark Prescott – Jockey: Luke Morris

The best bet on the card is JUDGEMENTOFSOLOMON who converted on a first handicap outing at Wolverhampton. It was the perfect start to the campaign for the Study Of Man colt who like so many horses sent out as three-year-olds from Heath House relished a big step up the distance ladder.

CARTMEL

Race 6 No1 DREAL DEAL (Nap)
Trainer: John McConnell – Jockey: Sean Bowen

DREAL DEAL looks to back up a tidy success at Wexford for a trainer who is mustard with his runners in Scotland. The Irish raider should have the edge on two rivals but is going to start at prohibitive odds.

Race 7 No2 JERRYSBACK
Trainer: Ben Haslam – Jockey: Mr John Dawson

JERRYSBACK is proving a more reliable performer in his old age and the concluding Hunter-chase can prove a fifth success from his last seven outings. Recent Cheltenham United Hunts winner Gaboriot rates a big danger, with the pair likely to dominate affairs.

KEMPTON PARK

Race 3 No4 CERVARO DELLA SALA (Nap)
Trainer: Paul Cole – Jockey: Tom Marquand

Front-running tactics almost worked the oracle for CERVARO DELLA SALA at Lingfield last week. That was the filly’s seventh start, but her form is the best on offer, giving her strong claims to notch an important first-career triumph in this fillies’ maiden.

Race 6 No4 LOU LOU’S GIFT
Trainer: William Haggas – Jockey: Tom Marquand

This is a strongly contested distaffers’ race in which LOU LOU’S GIFT can prosper. The daughter of Lope De Vega faces a strongly fancied recent winner in Shin Jidai, but the vibes I’m getting about her suggests she can start the campaign on a winning note on the way to better things.

Race 7 No1 GOLDEN DOVE
Trainer: Simon Earle – Jockey: Darragh Keenan

GOLDEN DOVE looked to be edging closer to a first win in a year when chasing home Damascus Steel at this track and can bolster her very good record here which reads 221-2. The one that could cause her problems is Polar Princess, who seeks to bounce back from a below-par performance at Chester.

Place Accumulator Perm (Races 1-7)

6, 3, 5 x 5, 4 x 4 x 2, 9, 5 x 6, 4 x 4, 6, 3 x 1, 3
