Neil Morrice Best Bets & Tips

Neil Morrice brings us all of his best bets and tips for Wednesday’s racing coming your way from Haydock Park, Hereford and Market Rasen.

HAYDOCK PARK

Race 3 No2 BROKEN QUEST (Nap)

Trainer: Matt Sheppard – Jockey: David Bass

This can prove a fourth success from his last five outings for BROKEN QUEST, who has looked a different horse since undergoing wind surgery. An examination of his record sees six successes from his last nine outings, encompassing three different trainers, and he probably needed his first start for Sheppard before scoring at Ludlow last time.

HEREFORD

Race 4 No3 HUDSON YARD (Nap)

Trainer: Jamie Snowden – Jockey: Gavin Sheehan

HUDSON YARD has done nothing wrong in a couple of hurdle races, scoring at Exeter before chasing home Style It Out at Catterick. She possesses room for more improvement with so few miles on the clock.

Race 6 No16 CRACKLE LYN ROSIE

Trainer: Evan Williams – Jockey: Isabel Williams

The addition of first time cheek pieces brought about improvement from CRACKLE LYN ROSIE at Sedgefield where for much of the contest the mare travelled the best. Having kept on well to finish third to Conundrum she can stage a similar earning effort in this bigger field.

HAYDOCK PARK

Race 7 No7 BLAIRGOWRIE

Trainer: Nicky Henderson – Jockey: Nico de Boinville

BLAIRGOWRIE showed promise to hunt up the useful Might on debut in a Warwick bumper before Christmas. The Yeats gelding has done well for a gap between races, and can prove too strong for Haydock bumper scorer Mr Glass.

MARKET RASEN

Race 5 No6 FAWSLEY SPIRIT

Trainer: Ben Pauling – Jockey: Luca Morgan

One For You looked better the further he travelled when scoring a Ludlow but the Ascot form in defeat of FAWSLEY SPIRIT reads stronger. Furthermore, the form of the selection’s narrow defeat by J’ai Froid that day has been endorsed, making him a rock-solid entity.

Race 7 No6 UNANSWERED PRAYERS  (Nap)

Trainer: Chris Gordon – Jockey: Tom Cannon

This stable has been amongst the winners and looks set for further success with UNANSWERED PRAYERS who seeks to end a frustrating sequence of three near-misses. Two of those happened in Irish points, but he went down by just a neck to Guardino on debut for Gordon at Kempton, which is a good base from which the Ocovango gelding can build.
