LINGFIELD

Race 1 – BORN RULER 2/1

BORN RULER looked well-handicapped winning at Sandown last season while there were excuses for his subsequent defeat under a penalty just a handful of days later.

A Frederick Daly claim catches the eye and this gelded son of Kingman can kick off his four-year-old campaign by getting the better of recent course and distance runner-up Enough Already.

It’s tough to discount On The Right Track making a reappearance based on the form he showed when third over 1m6f at Wolverhampton in October.

Myriad would be worth noting if attracting market support on his belated return.

Race 3 – WEDGEWOOD 18/10

This may prove a good opportunity for WEDGEWOOD. Trained by Tony Carroll and followed up a good second tackling track and trip by filling the same spot at Wolverhampton last month.

Can deservedly return to winning ways here in Tips For Every Race At Raceday-Ready.Com Handicap.

The lightly-raced Zing Up shaped well when fifth attempting 5f at Wolverhampton during October.

Autumn Flight could feature if returning to form shown when fourth over course and distance two starts ago.

Pablo Del Pueblo would be dangerous if allowed an easy lead.

Race 4 – ROSA APPLAUSE 72/100

In the Free Digital Racecard At raceday-ready.com Fillies’ Novice Stakes it is Simon and Ed Crisford’s ROSA APPLAUSE who can come out on top.

The Blue Point bay was third on debut when beaten only a length, the form from which has been working out neatly as there were three subsequent winners in the race.

After that run Rosa Applause was sent to Wolverhampton to win a novice by four lengths, form that puts her firmly in the frame for this.

Race 7 – GILBERT 8/1

GILBERT hinted there might be a return to winning ways when third at Brighton recently.

The Cityscape gelding previously won over course and distance and is just preferred to the top-weight Come On John who was a close-up fourth at Chelmsford (1m2f) off this mark last month.

Recent Brighton winner Chourmo cannot be ignored following that confidence-boosting success and the in-form Sunset In Paris might be in the mix.

DONCASTER

Race 2- ARABIE 72/100

Karl Burke’s ARABIE catches the eye in the British EBF Maiden Stakes.
The Dandy Man colt has already made his debut, placing second in a Thirsk maiden when beaten three-quarters of a length.

He was beaten then by a horse that was previously a close fourth in the Brocklesby, and his pedigree is also encouraging as his dam, Mamma Morton, has produced 11 winners and three black-type performers.

Race 4 – ISLE OF SARK 2/1

ISLE OF SARK maintains consistent placed form including a close third in this handicap grade at Chelmsford a week ago.

Fleur De Mer secures top jockey following a good second tackling a higher level 1m4f handicap on deep ground at Thirsk, so should be included on your shortlist.

Incremental ran with credit after a break finishing a decent fifth contesting a 1m3f handicap at Southwell. Can build on that effort.

Previous course winner Iron Lion completes the shortlist after a solid third in the aforementioned Southwell handicap and looks one to note.

Race 5 – CORONADO KING 11/10

Charlie Appleby’s CORONADO KING can start as he means to go on in the At The Races App Form Study Maiden Stakes.

The Exceed and Excel colt makes his debut in a small field and is well-related enough to garner some interest as he cuts his teeth.

Race 7 – MR IRRELEVANT 13/10

MR IRRELEVANT brings strong form with a six-furlong handicap runner-up effort on heavy ground at Ripon preceding a three-and-a-half length success tackling this handicap grade and trip at that venue on Saturday.

Fistral Beach improved here last August when a smart second contesting a course and distance nursery. Open to further improvement and holds every chance.

Woodleigh went well on seasonal return in the aforementioned Ripon handicap finishing 2.75L further behind the top pick when third a fortnight ago.

Ottoman Force has Tom Marquand in the saddle, so that’s worth noting.
