Tickets have gone on sale for the 2023 edition of the Hollywoodbets Durban July.
After three years of restrictions, the Hollywoodbets Durban July, Africa’s greatest horseracing and social event, is set to take place on 1 July with 50 000 people expected to attend. General entrance tickets priced at R230 can be purchased online at Ticketpro or from any SPAR Payzone Kiosk nationwide. A Ticketpro kiosk will also be available at Hollywoodbets Greyville, Gate 9, starting from 19 June.
The event promises an exciting mix of horseracing, live entertainment, and fashion. A general access ticket provides front-row seats to the racing action from the grandstand and track-side lawns, live DJ performances, and public fashion competitions. Food trucks, pop-up bars, and comfortable seating areas will be available to make the experience enjoyable for everyone. Parking tickets for the golf course with access via DLI Avenue will also be available on Ticketpro for R170 per vehicle.

KZN design students are already drawing inspiration from the 2023 theme, Out Of This World, for the HDJ Young Designer Award competition presented by Durban Fashion Fair. Various public raceday fashion competitions will also be held, and details will be available on the event website and official social media handles.
This year’s Hollywoodbets Durban July first entries will be announced on 19 April, with Cousin Casey, last year’s EQUUS Champion 2-Year-Old Colt, established as the early ante-post favourite for the most coveted prize in South African Horseracing.
