Punters' Challenge Players Edge Closer to Huge Cash Prize

A number of Hollywoodbets Punters’ Challenge players have come close to getting their hands on the “All or Nothing” prize money, available to anyone who can tip all of the winners on a KwaZulu-Natal race card.

The “All or Nothing” prize – which initially started at R500 000 – sees an additional R25 000 added to the pot for every KZN race meeting in which it is not won. As of 19 January, the prize sits at R1 125 000. 

A number of players have come close to claiming the prize so far in December and January: 

On Monday 7 December at Hollywoodbets Greyville, both Furrie and loopy managed to find six winners from eight races with each punter’s selection in race three – Hollywood Syndicate fancy – EAST COAST STAR, finishing half-a-length behind 18/1 shout MY SAVING GRACE, while both of their picks in race five ran unplaced.

Exactly one week later at the same centre, we had four players go two out. Kaotic’s and BOXBOY’s selections in race two went unplaced while they both backed, UMZINDUZI, in the ninth who ran fourth. Mike27‘s runner in race two failed to place while his fancy in race nine, ROYAL VIEW, crossed the line in third. Rhodesh’s pick in race two, MEXICAN CATDANCE ran second while his pick in race nine failed to place. 

The very next KZN meeting saw Singh29 fall two short of the prize, tipping six out of eight winners at Hollywoodbets Greyville on 18 December, with his selections in the fifth and the eighth going unplaced.

Just before Christmas on Wednesday 23 December at Hollywoodbets Greyville, Jon123 picked six winners out of the eight on the card. with his runners in third and seventh – GOOD GIRL and GURU’s PRIDE – finishing fourth. 

On 30 December at Hollywoodbets Greyville, Wayline and Subz both picked six of the eight runners on the card. Wayline’s pick in race three ran out of the places while his race 7 pick, DREAM DESTINY ran second. Subz, meanwhile came oh so close! His picks in race five and race seven – ABBEY WOOD and DREAM DESTINY – both ran second.

The second meeting of the year at Hollywoodbets Greyville on 4 January saw two more players miss the All Or Nothing prize by two. Mally picked six winners on the eight-race card, with his picks in the second and fifth races – SEA SPONGE and BRAVO ZULU – finishing third and fourth respectively. Lord_pain also managed to find six winners on the card with his selections in the second and fifth running unplaced.

As the prize money ticks up toward the R1.2 million mark, make sure to get your picks on for the Hollywoodbets Punters’ Challenge. In addition to the “All or Nothing” prize, we’ll be giving away a total of R10 000 in cash for every race meeting that takes place at Hollywoodbets Greyville and Hollywoodbets Scottsville broken down as follows:

•Winner – R4 000

•2nd place – R2 000

•3rd place – R1 000

•4th place – R 500

•5th to 10th place – R 250

•11th to 20th place – R 100
