SPICY GRILL got the upper hand late to win his last start under Ho. He remains in Class 5 and is capable of making it quick back-to-back wins. SHANGAI POWER’S last two starts under Teetan have been good. He is drawn wide but looks fairly handicapped in this contest and should give another good account of himself.

HARMONY WIN WIN is drawn wide which is a slight concern but he brings decent form into this race. He should have finished closer last time as he was cramped for galloping room at a crucial stage in the race. Apprentice Chau has certainly gained many pundits from his successful season and should give the top choice all the necessary assistance from the saddle. UNIVERSAL GO GO is likely to settle a few lengths off the pace and is a sort that does his best work in the latter stages. He looks fairly handicapped and can run into the money.

BLAZING PARTNERS looked a winner in his last start over this distance. He has cracked pole again, looks fairly handicapped and will be looking to make amends. KA YING BRILLIANCE is much better than his last performance when having to be checked for a run. He is much better when racing closer to the pace and from his fair draw, can run into the money.
Race 4 – Time: 08:00 Class 4 Handicap – 1200m
Selections: 14/1/10
This looks like it could be a battle of top vs bottom weight. ZACIAN finished well last time despite having to be checked at the start. He shoulders a handy galloping weight and it will be no surprise to see him in the winner’s box. MY ECSTATIC finished runner-up in his last start despite racing three-wide and is the class in the race. He gives weight to the rest of the field though, which won’t make his task easy.

LUCKY WITH YOU, FLYING DRAGON and ALL BEAUTY all made eye-catching debut efforts here at Sha Tin. The trio all have plenty scope for improvement and the narrow first selection is LUCKY WITH YOU.

BRILLIANT CHINA was an unlucky loser last time as he was cramped for galloping room and only got a clear run with 250m left in the race. The manner in which he finished off his race was encouraging and he definitely represents decent each-way value for Hong Kong racing pundits. GRACYLOVE followed up his most recent win with a runner-up berth. He moved up with intent on that occasion and was only caught in the latter stages. Schofield retains the ride and the pair are a big danger.

KUNGFUMASTER PANDA found a form return in his last start despite overracing. He performs best with Leung in the saddle and if settling in the race, should be a tough horse to beat. TAILOR MADE has followed up his most recent win with two runner-up berths. He is racing off a competitive mark and should give the top selection a good run for his money.
Race 8 – Time: 10:05 Class 1 Handicap – 1600m

LUCKY EXPRESS was narrowly beaten at the wire over 1400m last time. He is just as effective over a mile and is the narrow first selection. RELIABLE TEAM finished runner-up in his last start over further. His last win came under Leung and if overcoming the wide draw, should be able to challenge for top honours.
Race 9 – Time: 10:40 Class 3 Handicap – 1200m

DROPS OF GOD finished strongly up the rail last time and on form looks difficult to oppose. He still has plenty scope for improvement and should take a power of beating. DUBLIN STAR is in good form for Teetan. He is likely to settle well off the pace and will be mowing down the frontrunners in the dash to the wire.

SHINING ACE tired very late last time which just cost him the race. He jumps from a neat draw again and will be looking to make amends. STRONGER is another that is well-drawn and brings decent form into the race. He finished runner-up last time and could be one to complete exactas.

BLAZE WARRIOR has impressed in both wins to date. He has won both starts with plenty in hand which suggests there is plenty more to come from this individual. He is drawn in pole position and should take a power of beating. TEAM POWER sat a length off the pace and drew away from his opposition at the 250m mark last time. He reunites with Chad Schofield who knows him a bit better and the pair merit healthy respect in the lucky last.
