VALUE BET – COURIER WONDER (Race 3) ridden by J. Moreira
BEST BET – GOLDEN SIXTY (Race 7) ridden by C. Ho

07:00 – Race 1 | Class 4 Handicap | 1000m

Selections: 12/11/7

EL JEFE ran on from far back on this course last time when beaten just under a length by Galaxy Witness. He shoulders a similar weight, looks fairly handicapped and can give another good account of himself. CHEVAL VALIANT finished runner-up before a three-month layoff and if returning fit, can feature with Hewitson in the irons.

07:30 – Race 2 | Class 2 Handicap | 1400m

Selections: 9/2/8

SETANTA finished 1.5 lengths behind a decent type last time at Happy Valley. He should strip fitter, is well-drawn and could be one to cause an upset. HIGHLAND FORTUNE is better than his below-par last effort. He has cracked pole position and it will be no surprise to see him return to best form.

08:00 – Race 3 | The Centenary Sprint Cup (G1) | 1200m

Selections: 1/3/4

SKY FIELD was a narrow winner of the Grade 1 Longines Hong Kong Sprint last month and merits healthy respect. COURIER WONDER has resented the crop on recent occasions but if putting his best foot forward and keeping on a straight line, definitely represents decent each-way value for Hong Kong racing pundits.

08:30 – Race 4 | Class 4 Handicap | 1400m

Selections: 4/5/2

MILLENIUM FALCON followed up his recent win well when beaten 1.5 lengths by Kasi Farasi on this course. Purton takes the ride and he may be able to coax extra out of him where it matters most. BEAUTY LIVE entered the frame on debut when beaten 1.5 lengths by Flying Ace. He should come on nicely with that run under the belt and can challenge the top selection.

09:00 – Race 5 | Class 3 Handicap | 1200m

Selections: 3/8/1

TEAM SPIRIT just won last time when defeating Gallant Express by a nose on this course. He looks fairly handicapped and if overcoming his wide draw, can make it quick back-to-back wins. HERE COMES TED backed up his favorite status last time when beating Winning Method by a length at Happy Valley. He remains in Class 3 and must be considered.

09:35 – Race 6 | Class 4 Handicap | 1800m

Selections: 10/6/1

RED ELYSEES ran on from last when beaten just over a length by DARCI JOY on this course last time. He is 2.5kgs better off at the weights and can turn the tables on his recent conqueror. BIG BROOK was beaten just over a length last time on this course by Cordyceps Two and can confirm his recent improvement.

10:05 – Race 7 | The Stewards Cup (G1) | 1600m

Selections: 1/2/6

GOLDEN SIXTY is a superstar and is looking to match Silent Witness’ record of 17 successive victories. He has won his recent starts with consummate ease, has matured into a top six-year-old and should take a power of beating. MORE THAN THIS was no match for the top selection last time but on the form can fill the exacta spot.

10:35 – Race 8 | Class 4 Handicap | 1200m

Selections: 10/4/3

AUGUST MOON has won his last two starts on this course in fine fashion. He is likely to race on the speed and the hat-trick is definitely on the cards. LESLIE found one better in his debut on this course. He would have gained from the experience, looks progressive and the booking of Purton to ride is intriguing.

11:10 – Race 9 | Class 3 Handicap | 2000m

Selections: 10/13/4

NORDIC SKY produced a fair last run before a one-month break. That was his career-best effort and a repeat of that effort should see him finish in the money. CHEVALIER PRINCE has finished runner-up in his last two starts and was just beaten by ENTRUSTED in his penultimate run. He is 1kg better off at the weights and could turn the tables.

11:45 – Race 10 | Class 3 Handicap | 1400m

Selections: 12/7/1

NOTHING NEW was beaten a neck by PRIME MINISTER on this course last time. He is 1kg better off at the weights and is the narrow first selection in the lucky last. PRIME MINISTER ran on from last on that occasion though and the weight turnaround may not be enough. CIRCUIT STELLAR has placed in his last two outings, has cracked pole and despite having to shoulder top weight must be respected with Moreira in the irons.
