Warren Kennedy the ‘go-to’ guy for punters this season extended his lead at the top of the KZN Sizzling Summer Challenge jockeys log last night.
Although Kennedy didn’t ride a winner last night he finished in the top four five times and extended his lead to 22 points to S’manga Khumalo back in second.
The biggest mover in the jockeys log was Anton Marcus. The man referred to as Superman by punters flew up into third place on the standings after a double on the card. With Marcus having a favourable card at Hollywoodbets Scottsville on Sunday he should continue his rise in the rankings.
The trainers’ log saw ante-post favourite Gavin van Zyl make his way to the top of the pile after one winner and multiple places last night. Andre Nel is four points behind back in second, after his winner on Crimea last night.
With only two race meetings in the challenge thus far the horses log can’t be looked at with any confidence just yet. The horses who are currently on top have only had one run and some horses haven’t even run yet.
