MY KINGDOM ran a good race when finishing second over 1500m at the Vaal. He raced from a handy position that day and stayed on well at the finish. He meets a similar type of field today and with a bit of luck from his wide draw, he should go one better here.

CRANK IT UP ran a good race when finishing third in strong company last time. He jumped awkwardly, but ran on well in the closing stages. He has won three times, finished second once and third twice from seven starts over this distance. He takes a big drop in class and may be the one to beat. He is carded to race on 28 November 2020 and his progress in that race will need to be monitored.
Race 7: ANATURA (4)
Jockey: Hewitson L – Trainer: Gray St John
ANATURA is one of the better bets on today’s programme. She has placed in her last two starts against stronger company. The daughter of Just As Well drops in class today and may be the one to beat. She does have a wide draw to overcome, but she gets the services of Lyle Hewitson who will give her all the necessary assistance from the saddle.

Race 8: AFRIEL (11)
Jockey: Khumalo S – Trainer: Binda C
AFRIEL lost three lengths at the start last time, but the manner in which she finished her race off caught the eye. The drop to the minimum trip will suit her well and if jumping on terms, she should find herself in the winner’s enclosure. The engagement of S’manga Khumalo is a big plus.
