ALWAYS A LADY is finally delivering on her earlier promise and she has a bright chance of reeling off a hat-trick of wins. The daughter of Dynasty stays well and she could still be ahead of the handicapp- er despite a resultant three pound penalty following her gutsy last victory. She had a fair sprint in her only track start and a good draw is a major plus.

Jockey: Piere STRYDOM – Trainer: Roy MAGNER
ROSE WATER has kept her form well in recent outings and ‘Striker’ could make the difference on the daughter of Silvano who has an excellent track record. She meets fellow rival DAWN FLIGHT on 3kgs better terms for a 1.55 lengths defeat over this trip on the standside course three runs back.
Race 6: TELL MY STAR(1)
Jockey: Piere STRYDOM – Trainer: St JOHN GRAY
The evergreen seven-year-old TELL MY STAR had a promising last five furlong sprint at the Vaal and she can continue that form at this slightly lower level. She goes well for Strydom and jumps from a good draw.
Race 9: POLAR SECRET(4)
Jockey: Ryan MUNGER – Trainer: Craig MAYHEW
POLAR SECRET finally got back to form when she stayed on for 2nd in a competitive contest over this distance at the Vaal two weeks ago and she surprisingly escaped without a penalty. The once ultra consistent bay mare has a c & d victory to her credit and she should build on that performance. She will again enjoy being led into the straight, possibly by the grey filly ZAPPY CHOICE.

Jockey: Mpumelelo MJOKA – Trainer: Stephan MOFFAT
REBUKED took on too much in his moderate last showing on this course seven days ago but he had some smart prior form and will be an entirely different proposition in today’s company. He caught the eye when running on late for 3rd behind TIMEOFTHEVIKINGS over seven furlongs despite racing wide in his penultimate start and is now 6.5kgs better off with his three-year-old conqueror. This bay gelding is his stable’s only runner today and his promising 2nd behind subsequent winner Spring Steel over this c & d three runs ago, stands out in his formline.
