Neil Morrice brings us all of his best bets and tips for Monday’s racing at Hereford and Kempton

Hereford Best Bets

Race 2: PERFECT PREDATOR (8)
Trainer: Alan King
Jockey: Tom Bellamy
Having shown promise in all four outings in bumpers last season, PERFECT PREDATOR can make an immediate mark now switched to hurdles. He knows how to win and was only just denied by Eritage on his final start in a warm heat at Wincanton. He’s been well tutored for jumping, and his stable is going well.
Race 4: WISECRACKER (10)
Trainer: Ben Case
Jockey: Bryant Frost
The bold jumping WISECRACKER gets on well with his pilot, rarely puts in a poor run and is therefore going to offer up excellent Win and Place value in this. He did nothing wrong when beaten by Duc Kauto at Wincanton, and will operate around these tight bends.
Kempton Best Bets
Race 2: RIVER DAWN (7)
Trainer: Paul Cole
Jockey: Rossa Ryan
RIVER DAWN comes back fresh from a three month break and is 7lbs higher in the weights than when opening his account at Brighton in July. He has plenty of ability, but his early season runs were compromised by a breathing problem that has been dealt with. His forcing tactics can again be exploited from a midfield draw.
Race 6: LOXLEY (3)
Trainer: Charlie Appleby
Jockey: Adam Kirby
This is a cracking feature in which former South African champion Last Winter should improve from his only previous run in the UK. However, others look stronger at this stage including LOXLEY who has been minded this year and should have more bombs to fire, especially after being beaten inches in a similar contest at Newmarket last time.
