This is a competitive maiden event to start the day. CAPE OF STORMS showed speed in his last start, but found one too good on the day. This son of What A Winter has placed three times over this distance. Stable jockey Richard Fourie retains the ride and the pair could be hard to peg back in the closing stages.

LOOKS LIKE MAGIC is the best bet on the card. She set the pace last time, but was caught in the shadow of the post. The daughter of Visionaire has a positive draw of two and reunites with Morne Winnaar. She may have her own way in front once again and may be hard to reach in the closing stages.

Race 4: JACK THE JETSETTER (11)
Jockey: B Fayd’Herbe – Trainer: C Bass-Robinson

JACK THE JETSETTER made the expected improvement in first run as a gelding at Durbanville, two weeks ago. He was finishing strongly that day and will be at home over today’s trip. The son of Jackson is having his second run after a rest and should strip much fitter. He reunites with Bernard Fayd’Herbe and the pair could be tough to beat.

Race 5: ELUSIVE FORTUNE (1)
Jockey: R Fourie – Trainer: J Snaith

ELUSIVE FORTUNE is in very good form of late. She made a strong finish in her last start to be denied by subsequent winner, Kelpie. The daughter of Elusive Fort has a much better draw this afternoon which will help her have a decent position turning for home. Stable jockey Richard Fourie retains the ride and the pair could find themselves in the winners enclosure.

GREEN JACKET is better than his last performance at Durbanville suggests. He finished 1.05 lengths behind PHOTOCOPY in his penultimate start and is now 2.5kgs better off at the weights. He has won once and finished second once from four attempts over this c&d. Richard Fourie takes the ride and on best form shown, he should be the one they all have to beat.
