Race 6
TERRACE HOUSE won on debut over 1300M and then followed that up with a third-place finish over this trip next time out. He was only caught late that day and should be right up there when they hit the line starting from his handy four draw. PEREIRA has his second run after a 15-week rest, but finished a good third in his comeback outing over 1100m when just 0.4L behind the winner. If not in need of one more run, he should be involved in the finish. THUNDERDOME returns from a 21-week rest and has not had the benefit of a barrier trial. He had consistent formlines to his credit before the break and does possess early gate speed to overcome a wide thirteen draw. NAVAL ENVOY is drawn the widest of them all which won’t make things easy for him, but he may attempt to use his early speed to move across without expending too much energy.

Race 7
OUR WIND SPIRIT completed his hat-trick last time out over five furlongs, but did win his penultimate outing over six furlongs, so the step up in trip should not be an issue. All of his last three wins were posted on the synthetic surface, but he made a good debut in soft going, so the switch in surface should trouble him and he is made the best bet on today’s program. SHAM I AM goes for this trio of victories after winning his latest start over this c&d when returning from a 24-week rest. He has a wideish nine draw but looks to be the immediate threat to the top pick. THERE YOU ARE has his first run since a 26-week break and no barrier trial. The blinkers are removed for today’s run and he could improve as a result. DESIGN ROUGE followed up his penultimate win over six furlongs with a third-place finish over the same distance, just 1.7L behind the winner. He is drawn in gate two and should be respected here.

Race 8
With the late scratching of one of his main rivals, the way may be cleared for NOT ALONE to claim his third career victory. He won last time out over seven furlongs on the synthetic surface but has solid form on the grass and despite have to negotiate a wide seventeen draw, he is made the value in the race. IOWA HAWKEYE drops down in trip from the ten furlongs of his last start and if not finding this distance on the sharp side, he should keep the former honest. DESERT REALM won his maiden race last time out over 1500M by over two lengths and although he takes on stronger today, he could be up to the task on hand. TYSONIC is a 4yr old filly taking on the boys. She has her second run after a 30-week break, but she was not disgraced in her comeback outing and is sure to give the males a good run for their money.

Race 9
ST JOEYS is seldom too far off the action and although fifth last time out over six furlongs, he was only 1.3L behind the victor. He jumps from a handy four draw and should be doing his best work late. MIROKU is drawn one outside the former and was making good late progress in his last outing when second over today’s distance. He should be right up there in the mix. MR CANCUN has his second run after an 18-week rest. He steps up in trip from his comeback run over 1100M but did finish third in his penultimate start over a mile, so this should not present a problem for him. LAKE’S FOLLY stayed on well when ending up second last time out over 1300M suggesting that the extra ground on offer here will be to his liking.

Race 4
MANSENETA drew clear to win his last start over seven furlongs by nearly five lengths. He has this peak run today and jumping from a mid-field draw, be is taken as the best bet on today’s card. THE BOROUGH has consistent formlines to his credit and had that fact rewarded when winning his maiden race last time out over a mile. He is however drawn the widest of them all and will have his work cut out to beat the top choice. FIERY ZONE is a 4yr old filly taking on the boys and also has a wide draw to overcome. She was staying on last time out over 1300M and on that effort, she should enjoy going over the extra ground. AVALENE is a 6yr old mare who returns from a lengthy 59 weeks off the track. She has however had a barrier trial to prove her fitness and should be considered for minor money.
Race 5
SALSA DREAMING drops in distance after finishing second last time out over ten furlongs, but he did win his penultimate outing over this trip and looks to be the value in the race starting from a handy three draw. DEEPWOOD VALE is a 3yr old filly taking on males. She steps up from seven furlongs, but she has her peak run here and could threaten the top pick. RUBBLE finished fourth last time out over the mile but is drawn wide at fourteen. He is however likely to use his early gate speed to move across without using up too much energy. TOE TAPPER is a 4yr old filly who has an even worse draw to negotiate, but she did finish second last time out over a mile and could be a factor in this line-up.
Race 6
BLAZING TYCOON has his hat-trick run here after winning his last two outings over this distance. He has drawn gate thirteen, but be should be picking off the frontrunner in the closing stages of the contest. LIGHT OF ULURU is a 3yr old filly taking on boys. She steps up in trip after winning her last start over 1300M, but she is drawn in gate three and should be involved in the finish today. DANEBROOK put two and a half lengths between himself and the balance of the field when winning his maiden race last time out over 1300M. He has gate eleven to overcome, but he should still be respected here. DUBAI TYCOON has his second run after a 20-week rest, but his comeback outing over 1100M was encouraging and the extra distance is sure to be to his liking.

Race 7
A 7yr old mare and a 3yr old filly look as if they will fight out the finish of this race and they could complete the exacta. The older RUBY TWO SHOES has consistent form to her name and finished second last time out over five furlongs. She attracted plenty of betting support that day and will be looking to make amends here jumping from gate four.  THE FIRST OF MAY returns from a 26-week break but has had the benefit of a barrier trial. She drops down from seven furlongs and is drawn one inside the top choice. If not finding this distance on the sharp side, she should be a threat to the former. DIXIE CAN has only had the two runs to date, but he won from gun to wire at the second time of asking over this trip. Given her running style, his wide draw of seventeen may not be such an issue. SCHERZARE was disappointing last time out and was immediately rested for 24 weeks. He returns without having a barrier trial and is drawn wide at fourteen, but if not too much in need of the run, he should be considered for all bets.
Race 8
BURNING CROWN was a tad disappointing last time out over six furlongs but has subsequently won a barrier trial. The drop-down to five furlongs will be to his liking and he will start from gate four. BEACON won his last start over five furlongs when returning from a 27-week rest. He has a mid-field draw and should be right up there in the firing line in his attempt to complete his double. RACHENFELS was only beaten by a head last time out when finishing second over 1300M. He jumps from gate three and should put in another honest performance here. TIM’S PRINCIPAL finished fifth, 1.6L behind the winner last time out over five furlongs when returning from almost a year’s break away from the race track. If not in need of one more outing, he should be a factor here.

Race 4
APITHANOS ran on strongly to win his maiden race last time out over 1350M, suggesting that the extra distance on offer today will be to his liking. He has a wideish eight draw, but he looks to be the value in the race. SPARTAN steps up in distance after finishing fourth last time out over 1300m, but he was staying on that day and is another who should enjoy going the extra journey. THE CHOSEN ONE is also up in distance from the 1300m of his last outing. He shifted around in the closing stages of his last run and should have finished closer than he eventually did. THE KNIGHT also goes the extra trip today, but he could well be looking for this greater test of stamina.
Race 6
Even before the late scratchings of two of his main rivals, DEEP SEEDED looked to be the best bet on today’s program. He has only had the two runs to date, finishing second on both occasions. He was forced wide in his last outing over 1300M which obviously did not help his cause and jumping from his handy four draw, he may prove difficult to topple here. ROZEIRA is a 3yr old filly taking on the boys, but she has finished third in her last two runs and could prove to be the immediate danger to the top choice. BELUSHI makes his debut here after having had six barrier trials, winning the latest. Any betting support for him should be respected. LITTLE NATURAL is a long-time maiden, who, even with the four late scratchings in the race, will still be faced with a very wide draw.
Race 7
LET’S CHEER AGAIN led all the way to win his last start over five furlongs and is sure to put his pole position to good use. He fought off all challengers that day and if showing the same determination here, he could be good enough to complete the double. I AM THE GENERAL won last time out over five furlongs despite taking a bump during the race. He starts from gate seven and should be involved in the finish here. PUPPET MASTER was just three lengths back in his last outing over five furlongs when returning from a lengthy 47-week break. If not in need of one more run, he should be included in all bets. AGGRAVATE put in a solid last effort over five furlongs when returning from a shorter 17-week rest. He is drawn out wide at gate twelve, but should not be easily discarded.
Race 8
YOUNGBLOOD has solid staying form to his name and led from the jump to win his maiden race last time out over this c&d. He takes on stronger today but looks good enough to follow up. SPEAKING BAD is a 6yr old mare taking on males and has a poor draw of twelve, but he has ex-South African jockey in the irons and will get all the necessary assistance from the saddle. LIKEABEEL made good late progress when finishing fourth last time out over ten furlongs, 1.4L behind the winner. He should have little difficulties handling the extra furlong of today’s contest. LADY SOLERNO is another 6yr old mare in the race. She finished third in her latest outing over nine furlongs and likes to set the pace in her races. She could prove difficult to reel in over the latter stages.
Race 9
Many of the contenders for top spot in this contest are faced with very wide draws, which could hamper their chances for success. It may, therefore, prove prudent to side with those who have the better draws. SMOOTH MOVE is one such runner, starting from gate five. He is seldom far off the winner and finished fourth last time out over seven furlongs. He does return from a 38-week rest but has put in two fair barrier trials to prove his fitness. EURO HUSTLER has only had the two runs so far, but he showed the expected improvement second time out over 1300M. He returns from a 24-week break but has had four barrier trials, finishing second in the last two. From draw two, he should be right up there in the dash down to the wire. TRACY MAY is a 3yr old filly taking on boys, but she won her maiden race last time out over 1100M and should give the males a good run for their money, despite having to deal with gate fourteen. RUN FOR GLORY returns from a 21-week break and has his first start for his new trainer. He has however had one barrier trial and if fully settled into his new surroundings, he should be considered as he jumps from a handy three draw.
