Race 4

TWIN TURBO jumped awkwardly, but made good late progress to finish third last time out over ten furlongs, three lengths behind the winner. He faces a wide draw twelve, but he should be doing his best work late.

JULIETTE’S JOY is a 3-year-old filly taking on the boys, but she won her maiden race at the fourth time of asking and when having her first run for her new trainer last time out over 1300M, albeit by just a head. She had to be eased at the 600M mark, so came from some way back that day for a well-timed win. The filly gets a kinder draw four and should be right up there when they hit the line.

FACTORING PROFIT finished strongly from last place entering the home straight when ending up in fourth spot last time out over 1300M, 3.2L back from the winner, suggesting that the extra ground on offer here will be to his liking. The gelding has a wideish gate eight, but should nevertheless be included in all bets.

Race 5

The day’s value bet, GETTY won over five furlongs three runs back, finished second in his penultimate start over five furlongs and then fifth in his latest outing over the same sprint trip, 2.8L behind the winner, but he showed plenty of toe that day and from a wide gate nine, he should use his early gate speed to move across without expending too much energy.

A 4-year-old and a 3-year-old filly could chase him home, with the slight preference going to PROPHET TIME, who has consistent formlines to her name, finishing second in her latest outing over five furlongs, just a head off the winner, despite racing three wide without cover and having to be held up approaching the home turn. She has cracked pole position and should turn in another honest performance today.

LADY REVOLUTION was slow away, losing a length at the start, but finished strongly to win a neck on debut over five furlongs, despite shifting out from the 50M mark. She would have learnt from that experience and with the natural improvement that can be expected, she should be considered a big runner in this line-up.

Race 6

ASTUNNER has finished second in his last two starts and raced three wide without cover before battling all the way down to the wire to finish 1.8L behind the winner last time out over six furlongs. He has a handy draw three and will be looking to go one better today.

HELLO JACK was trapped wide early and did not quite go on with his effort when finishing eighth last time out over seven furlongs, just over eight lengths adrift of the victor, but he gets cheek pieces re-fitted for today’s run and if this move has the desired effect, he should be a factor here. The gelding is sure to put his pole position to good use.

MISSILE MAIDEN is a 4-year-old filly taking on males, but she followed up her penultimate run victory over six furlongs with a fifth-place finish next time out over the same c&d, 2.7L back from the winner. She stayed on well in that contest and from gate seven, she will be hoping to bounce back to winning ways here.

Race 7

Two 3-year-old fillies could fight out the finish to this race and complete the exacta, but the day’s best bet, CAPICELLA is taken to lead the field home. She won over today’s trip three runs back, finished third in her penultimate start over the same journey and then fourth in her latest outing over 1100M, 2.2L behind the winner, when returning from a 19-week break. She came four wide into the home stretch in that event and would have come on further with that run under her belt and from her useful draw four, she could prove hard to topple.

RUSSIAN ZARINA was bumped at the start and raced three wide without cover, but still managed to stay on well to finish eighth last time out over six furlongs, three lengths back from the victor. She is drawn one outside the top pick and gets a set of blinkers re-fitted. She could emerge as the biggest threat to the former.

SAIKO is seldom far off the action and raced just behind the frontrunners when finishing third last time out over 1175M, just over two and a half lengths back from the winner. The gelding is drawn the widest of them all in gate twelve, but he is a speedy sort who should be able to work his way across without using up too much gas to be involved in the finish.
