JOKING DICE runs well for this in-form jockey and the pair improved in their creditable last effort behind male rivals over a similar trip on this course. The runner-up Just Too Early boosted that form when winning twice subsequently and this well-drawn daughter of Crusade can stake a huge claim after a three pound dock in her merit rating.

This is an intriguing novice contest where the merit ratings may not necessarily be the best guide but the three-year olds should still dominate the outcome. TUBULAR BELL loved racing on this surface as he produced a powerful burst to narrowly win his local debut over a mile four weeks ago. He had some decent form entrants behind him and that effort indicated that the son of Oratorio will relish this step-up in distance. The bay gelding could certainly be better than his current assessment, particula- rly on this surface.
