He went close down the straight on this track second time out and should be very tough to beat here. The Yvette Bremner inmate is still lightly raced and has definite scope for improvement.

CUTEY ME has promising form and she handled the grass well when outran late into 2nd over this c & d, three weeks ago. She has unfortunately drawn wide yet again but the longer run-in suits her and she has further scope for progress.

The break and blinkers did the trick for ZEVENASTIC who bounced back to form with a strong performance behind the top quality Pacific Spirit over this c & d, three weeks ago. The inmate from the Greeff yard may have just needed the outing and he should be fitter now. He is only slightly out at the weights on official ratings but is still the one to beat.
Race 4: CAPTAIN’S VISTA(1)
The Tara Laing yard holds a decent hand in this novice contest and CAPTAIN’S VISTA gets the nod despite not being the mount of the stable jockey. The four-year-old gelding bounced right back to his best form when finishing runner-up on the polytrack over this distance at this level recently and he now has his peak effort. The blinkers clearly did the trick that day and the headgear remains on the top selection who is drawn well.

The striking grey gelding RICHARD STRAUSS has produced his customary late forays with decent success in recent outings and he should be competitive in today’s slightly higher class. He meets his recent conqueror WOW HOLIDAY on 2.5kgs better terms for a 1.85 lengths defeat and is a definite threat in an open event. The obvious reservation is his ability to see out the mile but the pace may not be hot and he should be finishing well once more.
