ON THE GUEST LIST was unlucky not to have won her last start as she was held up for a run between the 300m mark and the 100m mark. She finished 0.5 lengths behind TRIP TO BARBERTON that day. She is 1kg better off at the weights and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. With a bit of luck in running, she can return to winning ways.

AFRICA’S ROCK ran on strongly when winning his last start over 1600m on this course. He received a three-pound penalty for that victory. The 6yo gelding will love the rise to 1900m. He meets a similar line-up this afternoon and can follow up.

It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. He drops to 1400m and the blinkers should sharpen him up. From his good draw of two, he should take a power of beating.

It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. The daughter of William Longsword has ability and if getting away to a clean start, she should find herself in the winner’s enclosure.
