The latter was given a good ride as he drew off to beat Bunch Of Thyme (runs in race 3) in the above-mentioned event and he has definite claims of following up despite the resultant five pound penalty.

PERFECTUS stays well and he cruised clear of the consistent BORDER HOPPER over this c & d at a slight- ly lower level recently. He picked up a seven pound penalty for his troubles and he meets the runner up on 3.5kgs worse terms but is still weighted to confirm the form. Of course the main concern is that his yard was flat at the last meeting on this course seven days ago.

CARAMITO has hit top form again and she coasted to back-to-back victories recently. She comes here searching for the hat-trick of wins but picked up the expected maximum eight pound penalty for her recent triumph which is sure to test her this afternoon. That said, this shorter distance suits the bay filly. LADY DUCHESS was one of the few bright sparks from her yard on their disastrous day last Monday as she finished 2nd best behind the top selection over the mile. She is now 4kgs better off for the 5.50 lengths defeat but will prefer this drop in distance and top jockey Muzi Yeni’s ride is a big threat this time around.
