Race 3: ROY’S NOVICE(1)
Jockey: B Lerena – Trainer: A Wright
ROY’S NOVICE has had enough chances but she continues to be thereabouts and must hold obvious claims from her good draw tonight.

Race 4: ZEB(10)

The Cape visitor ZEB has gradually progressed in the province this winter and he produced a solid last run despite some issues. The chestnut gelding ran on smartly over the six furlongs on this course after being fitted with blinkers and he clearly prefers this slightly longer trip. He is 1kg better off with the local ELUSIVE WOLF for the 0.85 lengths deficit but is crucially well drawn at gate 4.

Race 5: DARK CHOCOLATE(1)
Jockey: G Wright – Trainer: W Nel
DARK CHOCOLATE will strip fitter after her exciting comeback run over this c & d ten days ago. The bay mare was perhaps unfortunate not to triumph as she found traffic problems in that much stronger event. Of course she escaped a certain penalty for this run due to the technicality.

Race 8: INTERNET KID(1)
Jockey: B Lerena – Trainer: G Puller
Jockey: B Lerena – Trainer: G Puller
INTERNET KID has shown decent potential and though his formline and recent efforts indicate that the mile may be slightly beyond him, the bay son of Seventh Rock could prove to be successful on this surface. Of course much of his lifetime success has come here. The three-year old will be cherry-ripe and he faces a rather ordinary line-up.

Race 6: TOMMY GRAND(5)
Jockey: K De Melo – Trainer: N Kotzen
The removal of blinkers could be the ideal tonic for the decent three-year old TOMMY GRAND who is expected to bounce right back to form on his peak showing tonight. The bay son of Fort Wood has a good track record.
