It could pay to follow the progress of Midnight in the opening event as the first selection here MAKING MIRACLES was close-up behind that rival in mixed company on the grass earlier this month. This bay filly has been costly to follow but she continues to hold her form and perhaps the switch to the polytrack could do the trick. Of course she finished comfortably ahead of top jockey Marcus’ ride LADY ELLIODOR over this c & d behind Coral Queen on 15/10.

ACCIDENTAL TOURIST has a smart c & d record and she was impressive when winning her seasonal debut four weeks ago. She beat much stronger in eye-catching fashion that night and possibly escaped with just a three pound penalty. The bay filly will be fitter and she can complete the hat-trick.

The filly NORTHERN STORM is in good form and she handled seven furlongs extremely well when outrun late into 2nd after racing wide a fortnight ago. She was only upped a pound for her exertions and the daughter of Noordhoek Flyer is even better over today’s sprint trip. She is drawn best of all and can go one better.
