Race 2

IT’S ME
is a 4yr old filly taking on the boys, but she has won both of her starts to
date, the first over five furlongs and the next over 1100M by two lengths. She
hit the front at the 150M and then proceeded to power away from the opposition
to win easing up. She will have to negotiate a wide draw of eleven, but she
should still be too good here and is made the best bet on the day’s card. GALAXY FORCE on
the other hand has cracked pole position. He showed marked improvement to win
last time out over five furlongs, despite being slow into stride. He could
emerge as the biggest danger to the top choice.
CLEARLY REGAL stayed on well when a head
second in his last outing over six furlongs when returning from a lengthy 45
week break. From draw two, he could complete the trifecta here.

Race 6

VERRY ELLEEGANT is
a 5yr old mare taking on males, but she battled all the way down to the wire
after coming wide into the straight to snare the frontrunning on the line for a
short-head victory in a Group 1 race last time out over seven furlongs. She
gets a far kinder gate two here and is sure to enjoy going over the extra
ground today. DREAMFORCE went from start to finish to win his
last outing in a Group 2 race over seven furlongs by a head. He has pulled pole
position and could prove difficult to reel in over the closing stages of the
contest. AVILIUS won this race last year and finished
strongly to end up fourth last time out over a mile in a Group 2 race, just
over a length off the victor when returning from a 23 week break. He jumps from
gate six and it is not out of the question for him to repeat a victory in this
year’s race.

Race 7

Another
classy field faces the starter here and a tight finish can be looked forward
to. DIRTY WORK missed out on his hat-trick last time out when finishing
third in a Group 3 race over five furlongs. The colt was returning from a 16
week rest that day and had won his previous two races over today’s trip. He
gets a handy gate five and could bounce back to winning ways here. BIVOUAC returns from a 22 week break, but has had the benefit
of two barrier trials, winning both of them. He finished fifth in his last
outing over seven furlongs in a Group 1 contest despite encountering traffic
problems in the straight. He is drawn the widest of them all at twelve, but he
should be doing his best work late and should not be easily dismissed. CATALYST has
his first run since an even longer 29 week break, but in his case, he has not
had a barrier trial, so his fitness will have to be taken on trust. He has
however have pole position and did finish sixth in a Group 1 race over a mile
last time out. He won over six furlongs three runs back, so the drop in
distance should not really be an issue.

Race 8

ZEBROWSKI jumped
awkwardly when a bit disappointing to finish three and a half lengths back last
time out in a Group 2 race over a mile, but he had finished second in a twelve
furlong contest three runs back. He has his peak run today and whilst drawn out
wide at gate ten, he still looks to be the one to side with here.
TAIKOMOCHI has consistent formlines to
his name and tried to go from jump to wire when finishing fourth in his last
outing in a Group 3 race over 1900M. He will start from draw six and should put
in another honest performance today. SHARED AMBITION has his peak run here after a 17
week absence. He finished ninth last time out over a mile in a Group 2 event,
3.3L behind the winner and although having to overcome a wide draw sixteen, he
is likely to be dropped out of the race early and should be picking off the
frontrunner in the drive down to the wire.

Race 9

CRIADERAS has
won all three of his races so far, the latest by nearly two lengths over six
furlongs when returning from a 17 week rest. He finished strongly for that
victory, suggesting that the extra ground on offer here will be to his liking.
He will have to beat a wide eleven draw, but may just be good enough to
continue on his winning ways.
ICEBATH is a 4yr old filly taking on males. She attracted plenty of
betting support before finishing fourth last time out over six furlongs, less
than a length back from the winner. She did not get the clearest of passages
that day and from draw four, she will be looking to make amends here.
AIR TO AIR is another 4yr old filly in the
race. She is seldom far off the action and was held up between the 350M and
300M mark before finishing a head second in her latest outing over 1300M. She
has drawn gate twelve, but she should be running at the leaders over the latter
stages of the race.
