PREDATOR was a tad disappointing in his last start over 1700m on this course. He produced three good runs prior to that outing over seven furlongs. The drop to the mile should suit him well and with Lyle Hewitson retaining the ride, he should be the one to beat.

TEICHMAN should have finished closer last time as he shifted away from the crop in the closing stages. The manner in which he races suggests that he is looking for the extra furlong on offer today. Warren Kennedy takes the ride and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of him where it matters most.

TRULY WICKED has run two good races for the combination of Wayne Badenhorst and Barbara Kennedy. He was reported to have had a mouth injury last time, which makes the run that much more encouraging. He has won once and finished second twice from four starts over this C&D. He should be at peak fitness today and can get back to winning ways.

BARINOIS was reported to be coughing last time and is much better than that run suggests. She finished 2.55 lengths behind SUPER FLUKE in her penultimate effort and is 4kgs better off at the weights today. That should be enough for the tables to be turned. She runs well over this C&D and if putting her best foot forward, she should be the one to beat.
