Race 5

UPRISE has
put in two solid recent efforts, the latest when third over 1206M at this
track. He had to weave his way through the traffic that day and did well to
finish just over a length behind the winner. He has his peak run today after
returning from an 18 week break and despite having a wideish draw nine, he
looks to be the one to side with here. SAGACIOUS finished second in
his last outing over 1006M, two and a half lengths off the winner when
returning from a 19 week break. He spread a shoe during the race, but stayed on
well in the closing stages. He is drawn one inside the top choice and could be
his immediate danger.
LETTMEGO finished sixth last
time out over 1206M, but the form of that race has been franked and the drop in
trip is sure to suit the gelding.

Race 6

A 5yr
old and a 6yr old mare could dominate the finish of this race and complete the
exacta, but the firm top pick goes to
WILLO TITTO who showed good improvement to win her
last start over 2190M by half a length. She hit the front at the top of the
straight and then stayed on strongly to hold all challengers at bay. She jumps
from gate eight and is taken to be the best bet on the day’s card.
RIVAL MO followed up her penultimate effort when
third over ten furlongs with a fifth place finish next time out over this
c&d, three and a half lengths behind the victor. She is drawn one inside
the former and could be her main threat.
GLYCINE MAX overraced early, but then stayed on well
to end up in second place last time out over the c&d. He has the widest
draw of them all at gate eight, but given his style of racing, he should be
picking off the frontrunner in the latter stages of the race.

Race 7

MISS PIERPOINT is
a 4yr old filly taking on the boys, but she has finished third in her last
three outings since returning from a 20 week rest, the latest when 6.3L behind
the winner over 1300M. It must however be noted that she took a big bump at the
400M mark that day and should have finished closer as a result. She will have
to negotiate gate eight, but given better luck in running here, she should give
the males a good run for their money. SHORTAZ finished third in
his last start over 1450M, just over a length behind the winner. He has a wider
draw of twelve, but he possesses good early gate speed and could use this to
move across with expending too much energy.
HELMET HEAD finished
strongly to be the runner-up in his last outing over 1450M, suggesting that the
extra ground on offer here will be to his liking. He has drawn one worse than
the latter, but he is likely to be dropped out of the race early and come
storming home in the latter stages of the contest.

Race 8

CRAFTY GIRL is a 5yr old mare taking on males.
She won her maiden race last time out by nearly three lengths when busting
through at the 200M mark to eventually win with a bit in hand. She takes on
stronger here, but on that last effort, she may well be up to the task on hand.
Her draw three will do her no harm.
BEAT THAT looked a possible winner before being run
out of it late to finish second in his last outing over 1315m, two and a half
lengths behind the victor. He is drawn in gate eight and should be respected in
this line-up.
RUMBERELLA returns
from a 22 week rest, but has put in two encouraging barrier trials to prove his
fitness. He raced wide into the straight before ending up in seventh place in
his last start over 1010M, but he has pole position today and should be
included in all bets.
